Mervyn a mate has an hp2sport for a few years now and I must say it's a class bike to ride, the thing is pure class. They are hard to set up though and if you find your in trouble let me know and I will try and find his settings. Great bike , enjoy mate and feck the doctors.
Thank you for that idrinkbeer, any info or advice would be very welcome. Not nearly as gorgeous as the Sport S.Roll on a bit of warmer weather eh.
Sorry mercenary I thought it was the hp2sport you had bought, I'm not sure what suspension yours has but the sport has two ohlins shocks one up front, so my mates set up will be different from yours.
Ah mervyn that's the one the hp2sport. I can get the settings if you need. A lot of the suspension guys arnt sure what to do with the funny front end lol. I love the exhaust and the popping from the quick shifter. A truly exotic bike and your in for some serious attention.
Thank you-that would be great.I view the bike on tuesday, and hopefully complete the purchase if it comes up to scratch.
The mate has had no issues with his with the exception of stone chips on the carbon bodywork. Mechanically spot on though. So just check the bodywork carefully ang the cylinder covers for signs of road contact and cracks . One was used by a marshal at the nw200 for a couple of years and sounds fantastic in fact sitting behind one on out country roads shows how smooth it is and how well it corners.
Classy choice. Just been reading an article about the HP2 in MSL as it happens. Handling came in for special praise especially agility from side to side, and spread of torque and top-end surge. Sounded really good. Out of my financial league though. They featured the groovy blue and white version. Pity they don't make a new HP2 with the w/c 1200 mill. Perhaps its too bulky..
Hi Gimlet.Nice picture, thank you.I read the article in MSL on thurs,I had been interested in this particular model for some months now.I have only seen one in the flesh, briefly,at the famous Boxhill. I started looking for any HP2's for sale and within easy distance to view, and hey presto I found one. After seeing some dealer pics and getting some more info I put a returnable deposit on it.My completion of purchase only if it comes up to my expectations. Hoping to get to the dealer tomorrow-I am keeping fingers crossed as some days I do not work very well. I know the bike is totally inappropriate for me-makes me want one even more.I can always look at it can't I.
Nice bike, about 6-7 years ago these could be had almost new relatively cheaply, they now seem to be going up in value.
Yes. Keep it clean and keep the mileage down and I doubt you'll ever loose money on it. You can't say that about many bikes.
Well TT600.Despite my conscience and puritanical upbringing I had to buy the bike. I am hoping to have it delivered on friday-I will then take some photos and put them up on here. It's all very exciting, even Mrs Mervyn can't wait for it to arrive.:Angelic:
