I totally agree Wally. This is not my first time dealing with these clowns and it's always a nightmare. I'm going to have a curry later and that will make everything better, just another day in the life of "I wish I did better at school get me out of here"
Living the dream, drinking a Cobra whilst the Achari and Dansak are being prepared by the local restaurent for our tea. Andy
Ordered another set of tyres, Bridgestone T30 evo's for the crappy weather , as they warm up really quickly
This morning I have serviced/waxed my #2 snowboard, kissed the girl next door when she came out of my shower, Sent some docs off to my accountant and I'm now getting ready to go to see Huddersfield Town vs Fulham as I've been invited on a VIP ticket by the club (with meal etc)
The 853 engine build has been finished so picked up the bike from MRs this morning. Couldn't resist a sneaky fire up ...... oh my, it sounds luuverly and the revs rise so quickly. As soon as the nose cone comes back from the sprayers/wrappers, I'll post some pictures of the new clothes and if I can figure out how to, I'll try and post a video of her fired up and running. Few minor bits and pieces to do and we'll be ready for Almeria. Andy
I got invited to the ice hockey last night. On Tuesday some bloke I've never seen from the Swisscom shop (think Vodaphone) over the road popped in to our shop wanting to invite one of us to the match. We are also a Swisscom shop as originally, Apple refused to let their retailers sell iPhones, which we thought was a bit thin, so we joined Swisscom in order to sell them. Now every time someone comes into their shop with an iPhone problem, they just palm them off on us. The shop owner said she didn't follow the hockey. The technician said it was too short notice. So I said, oh, OK, well fine, why not? A great evening. Meal with wine at the venue (very good rosemary guinea fowl) then saw the first third rinkside (some bloke whacked the glass with his stick right next to my nose). Then the VIP seats for the final 2 thirds. Lausanne won on penalties, the local fans sang hilarious tunes all night - everyone was happy (apart from Zurich). A top night out, the hockey. There are all sorts of bars and restaurants at the venue, with people downing beer, local wine and vin chaud and tucking into fondues, raclettes and sausages. Snowing outside. The whole evening was ridiculously Swiss. And it cost not a bean. Like it!
I've just put a request in to Huddersfield Town for a Big Half Time shout out for uncle Terry on his 73rd birthday who's doing his best to Keep it Up
Took delivery of another Matthew Crawford book. I consider him to be one of the best thinkers & philosophers out there. And he's into motorcycles too [emoji3]
I made a pot of roasted tomato and red pepper soup. It's from the Covent Garden Soup Company recipe book bought for me by my kids many years ago. There's something really satisfying about home made soup at this time of year.
I think the GSXR is done........ Now, on with the 996 winter deep clean....... And eBay for a project, I hope your ready for this guys!!![emoji33]
finished my latest book on "Sexism in Britain" today. I've put loads of pictures in it so that women can enjoy it.....
The silicone ear plugs I ordered at the NEC arrived today. Quite disappointed actually. The construction is excellent and they sit in the ear nicely, but the built in headphones make them too bulky to easily get a helmet over, and they get dislodged. Taking the helmet off is little short of a horrible experience as it feels like your ears are going to feel ripped off. Wondering if it was just my helmet I tried my nitro that I used for lands end to John o groats. It's a slightly looser fit but it was even worse - impossible to put on with the plugs in. I have emailed the supplier to see if they have any suggestions but I reckon it's £130 down the drain. ☹️
Bummer. It's really crap when you buy a dud. I'd try and get my cash back though. It never hurts to complain.
I've been watching a netflix documentary called Making a Murderer. If you have netflix, check it out. But be warned - it's 10 x 1hr episodes and it is compelling viewing.
Had a quick 10 mile ride on the bike and found out that there was still ice about, when my back end stopped it's 'rabbits nose impersonation' I took it home, washed it and re-applied ACF-50... While I had the bucket and sponge out I washed the car too and found a nice little dent/missing paint on the front wing.. Son of a :Muted:... Only had that replaced in September.
Cleaned the Rotweiller air box on my KTM (not a five minute job) and did a bit of ACF50 misting with the compressor. Therapeutic. All clean and shiny. i can hear it snarling already..
