Lycra and pedals today..... Already dropped my winter ride and need to finish fixing indicator and fairing
Used to do it every day when I was a teenager. No other transport. Frost, snow, ice, rain, open face lid, scarves wellies Barbour coat and dairyman's waterproofs. Then spend all day working outside. Thing is it was a GP100. 12 bhp, worth about a fiver and could be fixed with a hammer. I used to ride to the pub on it in the middle of winter. No coat or waterproofs because that wasn't cool and plastic carrier bags on my feet so my groovy 1980's white leather boots would stay clean to impress the chicks.
For the Hardcore amongst us I have added January to the title. For me thats a wrap, my bike has gone into hibernation until the salt is washed away , bring on next season ASAP please.
Salt spreaders been out last few nights, nice white salty lines on the roads around & about, that's it now for me until the nasty stuff has well & truly been washed away !! My search for a mint sp1/ sp2 continues indoors , in the warm.
i commuted in tuesday and wednesday must admit chest was cold wednesday used the car rest of the week
Managed a short 60 mile run out today, 3rd time out with the bike since purchase, its a bit unnerving seeing the ice symbol but apart from cold toes really enjoyed it . The bike is covered in acf 50/ wd so I don't plan on washing it otherwise it will never come out the garage until spring.
Went out for a ride this morning and managed 130 miles before I was in danger of my toes falling off. Only 200 miles til the 1st service!! Love this bike more every time I ride it.
My toes were toasty- courtesy of keis heated insoles. Our thundering Multistradas this morning made mincemeat of the frosty damp roads.
That's where they live. Got to keep them in the security cameras field of view or someone might steal them.
I've seen gangs in large lorries, stealing the contents of these bins. They often strike on a Thursday so they are easy to anticipate. I got 'em sussed
We have those gangs round here. So to foil them I fill our bins up with rubbish. Now they only come once a fortnight. And hardly at all at Christmas.
It's awful, they just stick scaffold poles through the bins wheel and then lift them on to the back of the van with the alarm still wailing. It's a serious issue.
