ET, Have you checked the pre-load on yr rear shock? They were notoriously hard out the box, winding them off makes a world of difference to the rear. I appreciate it's not a proper set-up and all that, but it is well worth doing IMHO. Both of my old 848's were like riding a grumpy donkey till I backed the two shock rings off.
I had the suspension sorted for me/my weight by Kais (Motorcycle Suspension and Service - KAIS Ohlins UK) before I picked it up - It was just different to my R1 but I'm used to it now though.
By god , I've just been on it , it's real hardcore and gonna take some getting used to this , aside the fact it's beautiful , the noise out of the standard cans is mind blowing , the riding position is rock hard , and I know what you mean now with the fuelling I can't get out of 3rd gear I've been doin 30 mph and if I go any higher you can feel a kind of chugging chigger sound , so I kept in 3rd . Sitting on the bike I feel high up and it feels as hard as what sitting On the yammy r6 feels like , but you lot where right I'm not feeling at home with it right now but I will with time , I'm just gonna have to learn it and be steady on it till I'm confident to give it a bit of pushing !!
30mph in 3rd?! Sounds a hell of a lot smoother than a 749 then, 30mph is just about manageable in 2nd on mine and only then on constant throttle.
I have been riding Ducati's for years so I know about the hard focused ride. I have riden a Panhandle for about 20 mins and it took it to a whole new lever of hardness and to be honest was not blown away. Buuuuuuut if I did have one I would have it dialed in to suit me, sooo get some miles under your belt on the open road
yeah defo , i wanna see about getting my footpegs adjusted to feel abit more comfy , ive done about 15 mile up to now , and the last 2 mile or so i was starting to get it abit , was goin round corners on the throttle and it felt sublime , i just need to understand it abit more , but this bike would dominate the TT , i can just tell from the very little riding ive done on it that it would be awesome with the right rider , the thing just gets around so quick .
excited, creaming ,buzzing , wetting your knickers , these are some of the words I think aptly describe you at the moment Suziman ,when you've calmed down post some pics ,oh and take some deep breaths. How I envy the git , in his pshycedelic world.
Nope sorry it wound not, the 37.7 mile circuit favours IL4's. If Ducati's were any good on the island then the top teams would be running them, they are not and they wont. The end
well to be fair the panigale has only been around 6 months or so , the island do favour il4's , but if we could see a panigale racing it then that would be great to see . i think also that the desmosedici would be good also around the course
