Russia Hatred

  1. Good god man, that's the other side of the world :Wideyed:

  2. Hi Yev,

I'm glad you came back into the thread. It's good you asked the original question because when you question something that, in turn, makes people question the way they feel about things. Well, people that are open do.

I don't think people on this site hate the Russians. It's a country of millions of individuals. How can you possibly rationalise hating millions of individuals?

  3. Comrades, delighted everything has worked out for the best and yev has confirmed that his tizzy was simply due to guzzling a load of vodka. It would have been a shame if any stereotypes had taken hold

Perhaps we could all meet up in a hotel in london bar over a nice pot of tea?

On second thoughts, maybe just leave it for now:flushed::flushed:

  15. I see Magadan is nearly as far north as Oslo or the Shetland Islands.

  16. Rather different when my grandfather was growing up in Ukraine too, he fought against the Soviets as part of the resistance just prior to WW2. He joined the German army during WW2 to fight the Soviets but they tricked the Ukrainian recruits and sent them to Italy to fight the allies, they surrendered to the British without firing a shot and ended up claiming asylum in the UK.

  17. Yev, good on you for seeing the funny side of this! :grinning:
