Not a single mention of the exhaust. Rightly so I guess. We are all aware now of how the exhaust looks and what can be done about it if we don't like it so it's good to now hear about what it's like to actually ride it.
Just watched the walkaround, makes more sense why the 'zorst wasn't mentioned in the road test vid now.
Is it me or is the 959 a little more wheelie prone? I know it's got a bit more power but also has longer gearing and yet it pops up a fair bit, maybe that's a trade off from getting more rear grip, a lighter front end

Very clever of the BvG not to mention the exhaust as he's got the bike on trial for a few weeks, I would imagine the new bike to perform slightly better than the previous model and also think that American market will have a very nice bike personally I'm not a fan of the new fairings and mirrors and of course the exhaust but that's just my opinion and anybody who is getting one enjoy
BVG is full of shit, he hated the 1199, now hes bought a 899 he loves ducati, he mentioned them when he had that road tester with him, lets face it the exhausts are SHIT and any one who recons there good really needs an eye test or works as a ducati salesman,

Im sure he sold the 899 last year. I quite like the 44t channel, I much prefer the more relaxed reviews than say MCN.
Ducati needed to make the 959 and improvement on the 899. Going by that one review, appears they have, but its just one persons opinion. Better handling, better power, what more do want. Fairly sure it will have enough power for the 'normal' rider. Riding gods, well you can go buy the 1299. The pipes wouldn't stop me buying one.
What reliability, enough speed in 1st to become a jailbirds bitch , and more than capable than i'll ever be but still like the 959 with akro's on , but then again i like any bike
There is no point getting hung up on changes Ducati had to make to satisfy legal requirements as every other manufacturer is in the same boat. It wont be very long before you wont be able to swap exhausts at all i suspect.
When compared directly to the 899 the exhausts are not as good. But in isolation I don't find them too bad. Plenty of bikes have the side exhausts.
yes your right but what they were to what they are now is the problem , you do get used to them the more you look at them but you still wish they looked like the previous 899/1299/1199 as it happens as soon as the weathers better I'm gonna take one out as I think it will be a cracking road bike,
