This subject is rearing its head again. I've got the money now but is £21k far too expensive for this bike??? With so few coming up for sale I've nothing to judge it on. Sensible answers anyone???
I think too much, but it is lovely. £18K? I would imagine they have not paid more than £15K and maybe less but only guess work I'm afraid. But this is an eye opener: Ducati 1098R in Germany For Sale (2010) on Car And Classic UK [C699683]
I personally think it's a little over priced but if values rise then it doesn't bother me too much. I'd only use it sparingly so would hope it holds its value at the very least.
How long have they had it in - offer them £18K, but still check all history with a fine tooth comb. Haggle haggle haggle - poker face though, don't look like this :Wideyed: or this :Woot: if you go to see it. Get the Engine and Frame number checked with Ducati etc and good luck did I say Haggle? Haggle
21k would get you a panigale R (and that's a shop bought one so you could probably go private and save a couple of K) - I'd much rather have that.!
A Panigale R or a different one and which year? I'd be interested to hear a bit more as I always wonder how they compare. My mate has a normal 1098 and whilst it is a lovely bike, it definitely feels aged chassis wise although not as much as I expected to be honest. The only bike I really lust after is the new Panigale R but these older 1098R do look damn sexy.
