It's not showing on the website at the moment.....:Watching: :Walkingdead: :Watching: :Walkingdead: :Woot:
It's not mine but I've seen it now. I think it's a one owner, 2,950 miles on the clock and £14,995 !!!. That's well rich surely ?. I know it has some toys (Ohlins F&R and 136bhp engine etc.) being a final edition but many see them as the outgoing model that they threw fancy bits on to get rid of the last batch as 999 was already out. From what I can see it has an aftermarket open clutch cover and the tail doesn't look to be painted in the original scheme ??
It's a Bip with a mono seat unit don't know if it really is an FE but the oddest thing for me is that rear wheel, it's not the original & could be a mag one ( but why wouldn't he have changed the front?) or a monster S4R one Edit: Looks like I'm wrong on that, just looked at Andy's link and the wheel looks the same.
I believe it's being Sold on behalf of, or brokered, it's only just come out of quite an extensive service, even though only just over 3000 ish miles, it is A very well presented machine
I was a tad dubious as thought the Fe was badged Fe and not S, it had a biposto rear frame, and the headstock has a Final edition plaque, but not a numbered batch
It's deffo a final edition as it has the plaque on the top yoke but don't know anything else about it. Deffo not the correct paint scheme on the tail unit. I've seen em sell for £7-8k, so maybe £9-10k from a dealer freshly serviced with warranty etc.
Just a silver plaque on the FE with no number. If I remember correctly there were 60 bipostas and 57 monopostas allocated to the UK, all of them red. Fairing had 998s with Final Edition written underneath. Andy
No I didn't say it had a silver plaque with no number, I said "it the has plaque", as in the the Final Edition plaque with the number on. And it does say Final Edition on the side fairings where it should. I'm not sure where the question has come from about whether it's a genuine FE or not ?, it is, just that it has had the clutch cover replaced and the paintwork is not original on the tail ?
Didn't think anyone was challengng its pedigree, I posted to add information. FE plaques were not numbered, it simply said 998s Final Edition. Andy
"It's a Bip with a mono seat unit don't know if it really is an FE but the oddest thing for me is that rear wheel, it's not the original & could be a mag one ( but why wouldn't he have changed the front?) or a monster S4R one". That's not challenging it's pedigree ????
Clutch was a slipper I think Sigma, hence the cover, hey you want to show what's underneath !!! I thought it may have been owned by someone on here, who could then tell it's true pedigree, either way biposto etc it's a very clean bike
