Ducati Only Trackdays 2016

Discussion in 'Trackdays & Rider Skills' started by Desmo Dave, Feb 1, 2016.

  1. Good morning.

Ducati UK have announced the dates and confirmed the prices for the 2016 Ducati ONLY trackdays.

    · 31 May – Donington full GP £175**

    · 16 June – Silverstone – full GP £175**

As usual breakfast and lunch is included in the price, any guests will be able to purchase food on site or bring their own.

**Race bikes will be allowed in Advanced group only at Donington and Silverstone days

Please ensure if you are bringing a race bike to any track day you let us know at booking stage.

To book your places this year at any of the above Track Days please contact Wendy at Superbike School or via the website.

Please make sure that you inform CSS at time of booking which dealership you are associated with as this will ensure that you will be allocated garage space with them at these events subject to space in the garages.

    HIRE BIKES

Superbike School will have a number of bikes available to hire for the day (single session bookings need to be discussed and will be based on availability):

    Hire Bikes

    · Monster 1200s £265

    · Panigale 959 £285

    · Panigale 1299 £365

Leathers can be hired at a cost of £39

A booking is only finally confirmed once we have a name, details and payment is received in full.

Donington and Silverstone are considered noisy and have a 105db limit. They have all been informed on how to measure the Panigale noise at static testing.... please note we cannot influence the testers decisions and noisy exhausts or full race systems are at your own/customer’s risk

Safety briefing is at 8am, those arriving late cannot always be accommodated ...so if you are running late then a call needs to be made to ensure we can still get you on track

We look forward to seeing you at these events in 2016

    Regards
    Desmo Dave @ WMSnell

  2. Is there a defintion of a race bike ? I only ask because I have based my track bike on a 748RS although I am not nor do I aspire to be a racer. Not sure how long it would be before someone lumped me if I were put in the fast group. On a lighter not, do you know if the numbers at Brands will be limited ? Trying to accomodate the 300 odd riders that attended Silverstone in 2014 at Brands will make it a nightmare for the less experienced rider. Thanks, Andy

  4. The best answer to this is to call Wendy at CSS and ask for here advise.

  5. Okay, thanks. Andy

  6. Race bike defined as having a rider with an ACU licence. Brands limited to 33 riders in each of 3 groups, ACU licence holders, fast and novice/intermediate. Looks like it is not going to be a day for the faint hearted. By the way, Wendy is a very nice lady. Andy

  7. Tempting actually. Birthday is earlier that month so I may drop a few hints. I'd be strictly aiming for that novice/inter group and turning up on a multi though. No ACU license, spinning it up out of clearways heroics for me [emoji106]

  8. just booked 16th june at silverstone!!

  9. Anyone from way down in West Cornwall interested in sharing transport costs? Van & fuel etc.

  10. Why is the tiny Brands Indy only £30 cheaper than the other full GP circuits?

  11. I think you need to ask MSV that question. Brands is always more expensive compared to other tracks of similar size and has been for years. Not sure but I hink whoever you are, MSV insist that you hire their marshals as well as using their medical facilities. Andy

  12. Well that's a git as it's my local

  13. Sounds like a good day.

  14. What's the sacrifice, a night out ? Go on, you know you want to :D. Andy

  15. So tempted to take the Multi to Brands but I'd be devastated if I dropped it or got wiped out (especially as I have a Zx7r track bike for those reasons!) but soooo wanna test the Multi on track, it seems so capable!

  16. I'm in Spa just after the Silverstone one so that's out but should be at at least one of the others depending on what work turns up.

  17. so tempting but id have to hire a bike which isnt cheap alone.... decisions decisions

  18. Wonder what the excess is on hire bike if you drop it??

  19. I can't remember what it is now but it does say on the California Superbike School website I believe. Something like a grand but they only charge for what they need to pay for. They are good reasonable people so I trust them no problem. I took a Monster 1200S out in 2014 as I had problems with my first Panigale and the engine blew after two laps! Came back in and they gave me another one and I had an absolute blast.

  20. it says....You can hire the following Ducati bikes (per day): 1299 Panigale for £365.00 or a 959 Panigale for £285.00 or a Monster 1200S for £265.00 (including fuel and tyre usage). Crash damage options: Pay a non-refundable £85 and reduce the maximum payable to £150 or alternatively a £1200 returnable damage deposit. However, if you drop the bike and just break a lever then we'd only charge you for that part. Don't drop it and you get your whole deposit back. - See more at: California Superbike School UK: Hire Bikes
