I saw the Ducati 959 the other day... My how to ruin a brand name.. It's ugly!
I feel sorry for those on the Bologna production line as they can't be proud building that.. The 1199 and 1299 is a beauty, but this no.. The low slung pipes instantly makes it look belly heavy and even worse like a Jap bike.. Each to their own I guess but none of my hard earned will be heading their way with designs like this... Sorry VAG

 

Ducati looked like Jap bikes following the 999, nothing wrong with that though I guess

I think they should have built it with 90's styling and questionable reliability, then it would be a real classic and sell shed loads. They could even sack the designers to save money to use for warranty claims and use the same basic design over and over. Come to think of it my Dad's Allegro was the dogs I seem to remember, I'm off to Ebay to get one and some rose tinted glasses to look at it through.

Only joking he had a Cortina really and that was the great in it's day,.............. which was 30 years ago.

I'm sure you'll be able to buy a decent after market exhaust system for it that'll turn back into a bike that looks like its been designed by engineers instead of bureaucrats. But that'll add another 2.5 grand. At least.

Yep.... True but I just wouldn't put up with those ugly stockers. Could get a decent 1199 for the same price... More grunt, better pipes.
