Hi All I'm new to this forum but hopefully someone is able to help I would like to purchase a well looked after 'original condition' carbon model 749r. If anyone has or knows of a good one for sale please let me know. Many thanks
Can't help sorry, however I've have had 2 in the last few years - took months to find what I wanted, but well worth the wait so don't rush. 'original condition' always best in my opinion, however 57 Termi's and a Sigma slipper are acceptable after-market add-ons
Don't hold your breath. I waited and searched for nearly a year just to find a low mileage, unmolested base model.
There's a couple of nice ones on eBay. They have certainly gone up in price. I won't be selling mine.
As said, there is one eBay and totally standard, look no further! Unfortunately they are so rare and in standard, then expect to pay...a lot.
I was lucky enough to get mine out of Japan. Only had 3600 kilometres on the clock and all original. their is a company in NZ that manages to get their sticky fingers on them from time to time somehow and for a decent price. Company link is Carbongarage.co.nz. If you flick them an email they could keep a look out. Of course their are larger freight costs involved but the exchange rate would still make it appealing.
Thanks for the heads up will drop them an email. Still looking if anyone knows of a mint low mileage one for sale
There is one on eBay, bit pricey but under 6k mileage. The bloke obviously isn't upto speed with bikes or this particular model as states he is selling it under the retail price! Plus says it is a 740cc! Although stock library image, would worry me. I would say look to pay 6.5-7k
Hi Chris Spotted the one on eBay, advert quality put me off even putting in an enquiry. I would be very happy if I could buy quality bike for under 7k. I'm in no rush. Thanks Rob
Are you dead set on a carbon ? There is still a very tidy, mostly original '05 749R with good history at Moto Rapido in Winchester. Asking £8795 which I believe includes a belt service. Andy
Thanks the heads up Andy, I would prefer a carbon model if possible. I'm in know rush, trying to find one with lowish miles in tip top condition. Cash waiting for the right bike....
That one is not for me, to many miles, to many owners. The owners write up is pretty poor to. Once again thanks for letting me know it was out there.
