  5. Swapped the bikes around in the shed to get the kh ready for the engine and i have a tool box which sits at the perfect hight to lift/slide it into position, it should be in this week when i can get an extra pair of hands to help,

  8. lift it in alright? any chipping of paint?

  9. Not one chip, had a car jack in the middle with a bit of wood on top lifted engine on to it and lowered into position having the tool box at the right height made it easier to slide engine across, also putting a bit of rubber hose over the exhaust studs helps against scratch's.
If i can find the carb clamps i will fit them into position then the cables,

  10. Bloody lovely work!

  11. Exciting stuff!
The brakes look a little frightening, though.

  12. Cheers chaps :upyeah:

There only one way to test the brakes out :Nailbiting:

  13. On the plus side, you're unlikely to flip it over doing an accidental stoppie. :upyeah:

  14. Just don't try them out when is raining.......

  15. God, yeah! There's that heart stopping moment when nothing happens and it actually feels like the bike is speeding up before the pads remove enough water to bight. :Jawdrop:

  16. Too right, I've had some very interesting internal motions as a result of Japanese 70's brakes

  17. Waiting, waiting....oh and please record the lovely whiney, crackly triple sound when you get the engine fired up :upyeah:
