That Time Again...

  1. Dropped my PS in for service, last done at around 3500 miles, it's now 3 years on and done around 9500 so I figured it may be due some TLC again.
Forgot how lumpy it runs when cold and air temp is around 8 degC, much better after it's warmed up.

As the other bike is in for some ECU work, I am currently "sans moto" and limited to push bike for 2 wheels for a couple of weeks !

  2. What's the other bike mat? The ps will be happy when you get her home lol , what all you getting done on her ?

  3. It's an F4 750 which is having a new ECU to get smooth out the fuelling. It' been 12 years so figured it's about time to get it sorted.
The PS is major service and long overdue belt change.
Both should feel a bit better when they're back !

  4. Pictures man pictures

  5. Probably posted somewhere before but here goes..

    Reworked Ducati, almost stock MV...

  6. Post up some more of the PS as I think it looks mint :)

    No pun intended

  7. Wow I love both, I always thought those 750s were pure class.

  8. The mounts for the ps cans, are you sure they are on ok, are they not upside down and possibly left and right need swapped ? Stunning looking though, the Zard system looks pure quality , what all have you done to her?

can you tell me more, really like .

  10. It looks like the ncr system made by Zard an Italian company

  11. No chance of getting the mounts the wrong way around, they are handed (bent and location pins that fit in the frame lugs). The Zard system is pure quality, weighs about half of the Termi system and looks even better up close, the etched logo is in even in colour.

There has been so much done over the last few years I can't remember it all, some major changes were:
    - wheels changed to Oz items (silver anodize was a special order of 20 sets from US), so now runs tubeless tyres.
    - tank and seat changed for aluminium items from an Italian company, again via a US special group purchase
    - respray in original colour, with frame colored racing stripe down the middle of all bodywork. This was an idea from better half, I wasn't convinced to start with but it works really well. Ironic really, as I hated the colours when I first got it and was going to get it completely, it kind of grew on me over 4-5 years and I quite like it now !
    - Zard exhaust fitted by Pro Teins and dynowork by Moto Rapido, this was a slight intereference fit with the swing arm on the upswing to start with but has bedded in nicely now...
    - Added an electrical feed plug from the running light and machined up a mount that replaces the fairing stay top cap and has a Garmin mount incorporated so I have a really neat satnav fitting for longer trips that is easily removable.

I'l post a few more pics when I find them.

  12. The Zard system was developed for the New Blue project as far as I am aware, so only fits the PS. It's still available but don't think that many were sold. I've seem maybe 10 sets, tops, apart from "New Blues" in various pics when I was looking for possible options.

I really like the looks but it felt really odd the first few times out as the guard shields are directy above and behind the footrests, so no sliding back onto the balls of feet on the pegs - that took a bit of getting used to !

  13. New blue mmmmmm , I'm not sure I could stick not being able to ride with the balls of my feet on the pegs, I find it my natural position esp hammering on and hanging off knee down. They are bloody stunning though. Would love to see the stripe on your bike. There is some serious money invested in your bike , I take it it's a keeper.

  14. Matt my mistake. The bracket is hardly visable when using the standard seat. I just looked at pics of new blue to see it. You should have a less noticeable set made up to suit , I think it would make your bike even nicer ( if possible lol). Now more pics man.

  15. First spin of the year , only a couple of miles but my first fix regardless. You couldn't annoy me if you hit me with a shitty stick lol.

  16. Good for you fellow ale quaffer. Having ridden pretty much every weekend during the winter, I'm out for a ride with an IAM observer in a few minutes. Grand weather too.
