Looks like it's had the forks revalved judging by he different looking adjuster on the bottom and the stickers, any indication what's been done? Lovely bike, bet u can't wait!
Hi Phil Apparentky its had some uprated firmer springs put in - mot that I could tell, termi exhaust and tail tidy being fitted with a new set of tyres. Bought the bike from Metropolis Barnet so hopefully all good.
Donnington park on March 24th Donnington is a big wide track with loads of run off The No Limits days have novice, inter and fast groups I did my first novice track day just 5 months after riding a motorbike for the first time and then passing my test. You'll learn loads and the range of abilities and bikes are huge
California Super bike School helped improve my riding. UK one expensive so next time I'll go Ron Haslam race school at Donington, much cheaper and all the kit/bike is included.... Took the sting out of track day nerves, on track with instructors and other people wanting to learn. Last thing I'd want to do is get in other peoples way or worse....
Just as a note. If you did decide to do a track day, bare in mind that donington is like an ice rink in the wet. I did brands in the pissing rain last year on rosso corsas and was fine. Actually really enjoyed it despite the fact I'd have obviously preferred it to be dry. Just watch out for Graham hill bend, it's high side central in the wet. And the dry.
Congrats on the 899 you'll love it. I bought a GSXR 750 as my first bike. That much power was a bit daunting at first but I realised I had a lot to learn. The most important thing is to ride within your limits, the speed will come. There's not much scarier than going into a corner too fast. Maybe stick to roads that you know well so there's no surprise hairpin bends. If you're riding with friends that are faster than you, let them go. It's better to catch up with them 5 minutes down the road than them coming back and finding you on the tarmac. Hopefully some better weather is on the way. Let us know how you're getting on once you get some miles in, Cheers Also the original footpegs are extremely slippery when wet. I've bought some oberon ones for mine. Easy to fit and only £40
