Hi! Just bought my first Ducati so thought I should say hello. The bike's a 1990 750 Sport and I think it's a beauty. Currently being fettled by Ducati legend and all round nice bloke Rich Llewellin at Louigi Moto, I should be getting it back next week in time for the Somerset hurricane season. I love the new stuff Ducati make, but I'm old and slow and wanted a classic Duke to keep my other old bikes company!
Gorgeous bikes, and I'm with you on the older stuff. I like a bike I can pull apart without needing a laptop! I guess that's why I drive a Land Rover! Welcome to the forum
Yep - it was on with a Buy It Now price of £1850 and I reckoned that was fair so I gave him full asking price so the auction ended early. Going through the paperwork it looks like the wheels are early 900SS and although it's fitted with Marzocchi M1R forks I reckon they're off a 750 Paso and not an 851 as advertised (different brake caliper mounts...) not that that's a problem as it all fits together well and handles very nicely indeed (Ohlins rear shock). I've just had Rich from Louigi Moto give it a full service and belts and tyres and while he was at it he fitted some 320mm discs and 4-pot Brembo calipers!
