So what have you done today..?

  1. Had the Flu, it goes after a bit. I had the 'cold with no runny nose' bit as well but it just cleared! Get well soon!

Today (well yesterday actually) I bought a wheel chock so I can check suspension sag. Will arrive in time for 'Spring' lol

  2. Got a sander/polisher through the post, was going to use the angle grinder but it seemed a little AAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH for the job. Should get to work on the single seat unit this weekend.

also have a bit more carbon fiber turned up by then and get the bip seat unit on, should be ready for the summer soon. :upyeah:

  3. sorry to hear that Viv, hope you feel better soon. If you need to have a snooze just keep reading on here :- -)

  4. Hope you feel a lot better soon @Ducbird. My day has been a disaster from the moment we arrived at the track, gout flaired up in my index finger on the right hand and couldn't wear a glove. Went to the medical and was given an injection in my arse. Great, now got two parts of my body that hurt. Managed 6 laps late afternoon but the finger went white and was very painful. Sleep on it tonight and hope it's okay tomorrow. On a better note Carole had a much better day thrashing the nuts off the RC29. Andy

  7. Today I purchased my latest "Superbike!" - I've yearned for one of these from the moment I clapped eyes on one!Cost me £215 - currently restricted to 29 MPH - but having it done tomorrow - 46 MPH!!! image.png

  8. Get well soon! I had it all over Christmas and my limbs ached so much I checked every morning that my Ex Grizzler wasn't hiding under my bed with a baseball bat

  11. Just got back from a local steak house, 300gm Argentinian rib eye, mmmmmmm and the major swelling around the knuckle on my index finger has miraculously all but gone. The knuckle is still very painfull but it's all in the right direction. Had a look at the pills the track medic gave me, 600mg Ibuprofen ! Could be the reason why the swelling has gone down. Knackered so time for bed, goodnight all. Andy

  12. Started to do some prep on the single seat unit, decided to do a complete respray in plain red. Looks like it has been resprayed before and so will be interesting what I find....

Also test painted a fuel cap. Then discovered you need to be really careful using a heat gun to dry the paint. Made a right mess, but it's a practice bit and I'm learning.

  13. Had to give an hour's lesson today to a 50-something year old German woman. Not only was she stupid, but she didn't want to listen or learn. Anyone who thinks they are going to learn something really useful in Excel AND Powerpoint in an hour is a bit dim. But what really pissed me off was that she kept texting and emailing on her mobile while I was talking.
I finally lost some patience and suggested she come back another day as she was wasting her time (at CHF 160 and hour) and mine. So she put her phone away. At the end she gave me CHF 200 and expected CHF 40 change, but as the shop had been closed for 15 minutes and she'd been in no hurry to leave, and as I had spent 90 minutes in her company, I said "We've done one and a half hours, so I'll bill you one and a quarter" and stuffed the CHF 200 in the till. It was worth putting up with her just to see her face!
    Stupid cow.

  18. Final day today, perfect weather again and for a change no red flags all day. Finger was fine this morning and fitted in the glove without too much discomfort. Got lessons which improved my confidence and lap times. Sadly Carole's NC29 fried its battery during her last session this afternoon which was a bit disappointing. Bike hadn't missed a beat since we bought it 2 years ago so I guess we had a good run. Bikes on their way home already and we are headed north for Barcelona tomorrow for a few days before flying home. Andy
