1198 Found Iphone Holder Solution

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by Swiss T, Feb 25, 2016.

  1. Just sharing....

After looking at lots of different & innovative ways to carry an iphone on my 1198, I went for this. from Bob at Telferizer.

Its neat, secure, doesn't move with the bars or obscure the clocks; replaces one of the keyguard nuts.

Edit - I already had the short connecting arm & charging lead so this wasn't included, but Bob also supplies the arm if wanted.

No affiliation, just a good product imo & a helpful bloke.

  2. Darn good idea right there!!! Nice work, thanks for sharing :)

I am currently using a fork tube mount but this would be ideal for radar detectors as to not block your dash view.

  3. Where did you purchase this? & did it come with charging cables etc

  4. google 'Telferizer'.....and ask for Bob.

    :upyeah:

  5. My phone has velcro on the back that matches a bit of velcro in the headlight frame just below the instruments. It also matches a bit of velcro on the car dash.

  6. I bought similar from Bob, an alternative Tom Tom rider 400 mount for my 1200 multistrada. Rather than using the handle bar mount supplied this one mounts on to the handle bar bracket by using one of the four clamp bolts. Now it sits centrally and has better weather protection from the screen. I also bought a security bolt designed by him so the charging device can be left in place when parked. Good products and service, would recommend him.

  7. Or you could just stick it in your pocket and answer it when you stop :)

  8. Doesn't work too well for satnav El T [emoji6]

  9. He just said he wanted to carry his iPhone, not have it on for the satnav app ;)

Ps If you need a satnav for your bike get a Multi too :p

  10. That's what I did [emoji6]

  11. Looks like the ultimate addons one, and if it performs like that then its worthwhile

  12. Ultimate addons do a good case for the 6+ too.

  13. Being speaking with Bob at Telferizer.. Even though it looks like a good setup, it's pretty pricey

  14. Not much change out of £100 [emoji6]

  15. ?! Get the UA set, get a power pack too and probably half that cost

  16. Interestingly the op said he paid £55 minus the power leads.. But I've been quoted more from Bob.. Will mention that to him & see what happens.. But if no joy then the UA it will be

  17. Yeah, try UA in Aylesbury.

  18. Thanks for sharing Swiss T. This does look good.
I currently use a cheap eBay holder for my 6+ cable tied onto the top of my tank mounted US 10 Kriega.
Works and was around £8, on top of the price of the Kriega set up.
Don't fancy paying top dollar so will check out the UA one.

  19. I paid 20.00 for the ball fitting and 10.00 for the security bolt, in cash no postage, because he lives near me. Wired it up myself from surplus capped switched feed behind the fairing. Works well.
