Anyone any dealings or knowledge regarding a Ducati used engine supplier/breaker In Nuneaton area.. Called elitesuperbikeparts1 .. Seems to have a constant flow of engines for sale on e bay, just wondered if anyone knows if it's a "burnt fingers likely situation" or perhaps they are genuinely ok..?
There are a lot of posts on here about this dealer, mostly stemming from dealings with him on eBay and they are mixed. I have dealt with him personally over a small eBay item on one occasion and had no problems. Others may tell a different story. As a minimum, as with any engine, I would try and get some sort of proof that the mileage stated for it is genuine.
Morning Red.. He has good FB on e bay, but I guess that can be managed if you know how.. Seems to supply paperwork etc with most too.. I would check the engine number with Ducati uk and as much paperwork history as poss.. Having said that we, Glen mainly, would strip the engine anyway and give it anything it needs.. I'm just a bit worried as to where he gets so many bikes to break though?

I, like others have had very,very bad experience dealing with him! My view is he works had to maintain his ebay profile, will then offer you deals off ebay and that's where the rip offs and cons happen. All his ads state the same BS, low mileage/show bike blah blah. A few members on here have sold him bikes and will testify that the parts, when subsequently sold off, state the wrong mileage, or will be embellished in soon way. A titanium reservoir cap is actually a plastic coloured reservoir cap! Use with caution if you must!
I bought a black 999 tank of him as it was on an auction and went cheap (no other reason) he seemed dodgy when I met him outside a terrace house, there was no one in and he pulled up in a car with the tank, said he'd forgotten his house keys. I got the impression he didn't live there. Tank was fine, as I'm sure a lot of the parts he sells - but he is well documented on here for false advertising / ripping people off with Engine mileage (he will show you fake proof evidently too) so I would never ever buy an Engine off him
