  1. Exactly my thoughts, if you want to get into racing you have to accept the British weather. I hated the wet and still do on track strangely it doesn't bother me too much on the road, guess I'm going to try and be quicker on the track.

  2. Exactly........what a plonka....thinks he's going racing in the dry........

.......perhaps it hasn't occurred as yet, why some tyres are called 'wets'......

......and if they are a cure-all, well there's another think coming; 'cos they aren't, as I can confirm from a weekend meet at Pembrey when the damn outfit took off on wets even on the Shellgrip surface they had there.......

....mind you, we did get a second place in p*ss pouring rain at Lydden one day (and on the video I just happen to have, you can clearly see the water running out of my boots in some of the slower bends)

  6. You for real? I do live in England you know lol. I just haven't got a set of wets yet. Only slicks, new to this track lark.

  7. Come on Terry Tibbs. Talk to me

  8. Ah well....you shouldn't say things like you did in Post No.35 above if you don't want people jumping to conclusions......

I assume if you have slicks, you also have spare wheels for the wets to go on?

  9. my bad,, no i haven't got wets yet or a spare set of wheels, i was going to see how it went and if i had the necessary minerals, then look in to getting wets on rims, im taking a chance that it will be dry or at least a dry line, risky one i know.

  10. Looking forward to how it goes sounds awesome keep us posted. Doubt I would have the town halls to do it:) although I haven't been riding that long.

  14. If you're running with slicks don't forget to set up your suspension to account for that. Also, slicks need to be up to temperature to work properly, which means you have to be quick to get them to work well. I'd bin them for a set of track orientated road tyres. These will warm quicker and at a lesser pace, especially as the weather is cold now!

  15. Lougi is my guess...or Chaz lol
