  1. Hello, my name is Anders, and new to this forum. Im an "old family guy" from Norway, ridden and owned several bikes through many years (mostly japanese bikes; R1, CBR1000, GSXR1000`s, ZX-10R, also Aprilia RSV1000R factory, BMW1200RS and KTMĀ“s). But never my dream from mid-90`s:

This is the one. Owned and served well by the same guy last 20 years.

To be honest, i hope it will function a few more miles. Its been ridden a lot, 57000 miles (!).... Many "things" have been done with it last year, but, i will post more updates during the coming season to tell You all how it works.
A Ducati dealer told me it may last all the way up to 90-100000 miles if i took care of it. I will try ;)
    (Sorry for my bad english)
Looking forward to hang around this forum, cheers:sunglasses:

And your English is better than most of ours on here so don't worry

  7. Great looking bike. I bet it will sound amazing riding along the fjords :)

  8. Nice bike,
I've seen a 916 with 90,000 miles, owner said it had regular service's and only one top end rebuild so plenty of life left :upyeah:

  9. Hi Anders and welcome to the forum. Glad you have realised your Ducati dream.

  10. Bike still looks mint. :upyeah:
    Congrats.

  11. Thank You all for the warm welcome here! Especially to Roadtrip, for the calming words about high milage :)

  12. Beautiful looking bike Anders, I really miss my 996, wish I'd kept it and would almost say the best bike I've owned!

Welcome the forum, some good advice, some bad, but always friendly!

  13. It was in the summer of 2014 at the Essex Air ambulance ride out for charity to Harwich were they have a road show/bike stalls the Ducati was on a bike club stand, i did a double take when i saw the milage so i had a chat with the owner.

  14. Hi Anders
Welcome to the forum. I did the same as you last summer and bought by dream bike. Yours looks to be in great condition. Enjoy :upyeah:

  15. thread moved and welcome Dave :)

  16. ooooh blumming lovely. I like to see older bikes with big miles on them. Those 50,000 miles are all linked to amazing motorcycling experiences and hopefully you'll have another 50,000 miles to enjoy.

It breaks my heart when people buy these amazing bikes and just lock them away with the only motivation... Keep the miles as low as possible!

I've seen MOT's done with only 3 miles covered in 12 months. And, the owner was proud of it!!!! lol

  17. Beautiful bike. As already said don't worry about the miles, as a rule Ducs seem to thrive on regular use so ride it and enjoy it.

  18. Looks awesome!! Enjoy living the dream!!!

  19. Welcome from sunny Devon
