1200 DVT Termi Upmap, Latest Software Update

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by D4VE, Feb 29, 2016.

  1. Seems ducati have released a new upmap for the termi .

    Posted on Ducatims.

The before is a bone stock MTS1200DVT MY2015, after is the same bike but fitted with a full Termi and the latest upmap, nothing else has been done.
Its a completely different engine, 18hp more right in the middle of the range youd use.

  4. Have posted several post where I am saying that the engine in this bike has much more potential than the current. No need for a Dyno for that, when you can push 4th gear over 200kph on a 1200cc engine either it's the dumbest engine ever or wrongly mapped be it on purpose or not.

  5. Fark! I've got to get me one of those upmaps!!! I'll be on the phone to Snell imminently. That looks amazing. I wonder if I need to take the old upmap key in too.

  6. I was in my local dealers last week and mentioned I had fitted my termi and could they load my upmap, they said yep we have the upmap in our computer so don't necessary need the dongle, i presume the one they have is the updated version.

  7. Latest upmap Software release number: 10SW000414

  8. Anyone know for sure if UK dealers have this new Termi map in their magic computers?

  9. I have contacted my Dealer to ask if my bike got 10SW000414 when it was serviced last week ?
    Waiting reply

  10. If you have a Termi exhaust, whats the cost to get this map?

  11. If it's an official Ducati map it should get automatically downloaded when they plug your bike in - shouldn't be any charge at all.

  12. So the map is for bikes both with and without the Termignoni system?

  13. Upmap is only for bikes fitted with the termi full system .

  14. Reading some of the commentary in various online reviews of the 2015 MTS DVT it would appear that Ducati have also released a new map for standard bikes, hence why I asked the question.

Does anyone have any experience of this new map or was it just the US that got it? I think it came out in December. I think the updates also address some other bugs with the display.

  15. Yes, there are two issues at play here.

Firstly, there is a new map for stock non-Termi DVT bikes that is supposed to get rid of a flat spot and hesitation on throttle opening. I am not sure if this is USA only or global. There's probably a thread about it on here and it would be best not to diverge this thread with non-Termi map info.

Secondly, this thread is reporting a new map for bikes fitted with the full Termi system. This is very interesting news as fitting the full Termi system made little difference to power & torque (I did before and after dyno runs which are on another thread). A new "upmap" would be significant if it yields the results shown in the graph on this thread.

My dealer, Snells, hasn't heard of this new Termi upmap. We're in a bit of a fact-free zone at the moment aside from the software release info above and the dyno graph. What I'd really like to know is whether this new upmap exists, and whether UK dealers will download it to my bike.

  16. OK - this appears to be a bust. There's no new full Termi upmap according to Ducati UK. Sadness :-(

So where did that dyno chart come from?

  17. You lucky sod, I'm jealous, have you had chance to use it since the update ! What's it like .

  18. Heard about this today... There is no new magic upmap update. Only update to have been released was the one for the stock bike in 2015.
Not sure where this has started but it does look very similar to the figures/chart Rexxer released a few weeks ago after mapping a DVT with a full system fitted.
As someone has already mentioned, the limiter looks to have raised as well.
