The ups and downs of my 748 track bike.

  1. Hey guys. Yes, it's finished, for the time being. I rode it a little bit at the end of last summer, after getting it M.O.T.'d. I used a spare horn I had from my Suzuki GSX1400. Any horn would have done the job.

I've paid very little attention to the bike over the winter, other than turning the engine over with the back wheel and the gearbox in sixth to keep the belts moving. Pretty sure I've done this every other week. The weather picked up a bit this week, so I decided to get the thing out for a once over. I washed it this afternoon, it had gotten a bit dusty in the workshop. And a quick ride around the yard, just to stretch its legs. I also added two drain holes and rubber bungs to the belly pan today, more to help when washing than anything.

As it stand today, taxed, M.O.T.'d, and insured:-

It would be nice to get it painted, and to do a trackday soon.

  2. Well, almost a whole year has passed sine I last logged on. My inbox is teaming with messages and notifications....

But, due to problems with storing the bike I am no longer in a position to keep it, so am looking to sell. I know that it is worth more in pieces, so I will be breaking it down soon. If there is anything you would like, please get in touch. The airbox is already reserved.

    :/

  5. Thanks Gary.

I'm taking the bike apart today, and posting out the parts already spoken for. This is a difficult time.

  7. Hey, thanks guys.

The forks are 1098, but with billet feet to accept the more common 108mm calipers. These aren't sold yet.

  8. i have fork and caliper envy. just saw them on ebay and they all look amazing.... wish i had the cash. good luck with the sale!!

  9. I'm open to offers outside of eBay. As it stands fees would be in the region of £250, so you could save at least that. Pm me with interest.
