Had a look but could not find any reference to the noise limit. As it turns out with my back still in spasm, I wouldn't have been able to throw my leg over a bike anyway. The 853 is borderline, the old RS engine was 101 and I suspect he new engine isn't quieter and as for the 1098 with the 70mm system, forget it . Enjoy yourself. Andy
