-3 degrees when I left for work this morning on the bike, iced over cars but on the road no ice probably as covered in salt. No heated grips needed as the Muffs are working a treat on the multi and the temps overnight are due to come up a bit over in the distant East Of England so will be easier than the last few days
Flying home tomorrow, hoping to be back in the saddle asap. Not bothered about the cold with the warm riding gear and heated grips, it's snow and ice on the roads that stops me, the roads are dangerous enough without. Don't use the bike to commute, or the car come to think of it. Just ride for the enjoyment.
Bracing ride to work today but roads still dry and clear of unpleasantness. That first roundabout though ... always a bit squeaky, that one
Pretty cold last couple of days on the Hyper Evo, heated grips so ok on my 25mls to work. Roads more greasy than icy, spins up a bit, wakes me up nicely...
Yes, my Hyper is a nightmare on slippery surfaces with bundles of torque, but the roads this morning felt terrible and greasy because of all the salt that's been spread around! It seems to be a lot warmer today than it was yesterday as well; no ice on the car this morning when I left!
well i am riding everyday or season with my DVT S so no problem here i saw around -4 max nothing to bad. the rain is bad with that scorpion tyres though! i need a pair of diablo.
I know it's mid Feb but it's colder than December , -1 when I set off this morning .. Who says sportsbikes don't need heated grips ( appreciate the 959 has two colossal ones..)
Yeh it was BRUTAL this morning but on the plus side its almost light when I get home now. Just need my knees, elbows and wrists to stop creaking and falling apart to be able to enjoy it now.
Didn't feel too cold yesterday morning but Christ it was today. No ice on the way in to work from Warwick but by heck I'm wary! Mutley is the first bike I have had heated grips on...paradise.
rode my multi yesterday didnt enjoy it visor misting issue, cold chin and a funny clicking noise when i closed the throttle ..roads covered in salt and my bike looking filthy every other car on thier phones no fun
I was out on sunday for a ride, a bit cold but thank god for heated clothing, agree with the amount of people on their phones I even followed a car through Chippenham that was all over the place then realised the TW@T was texting
Fun isn't it... yesterday watched a large sheet of ice lift off the top of an artic trailer as the wind got under it, it sailed though the air then hit the road shattering into thousands of pieces across all 3 lanes, luckily nothing was close behind the truck! I just kept straight & rode through it at 80 ish, hate to think what would happen to a biker if following in lane 1... keep safe
Takes me back, I had a gilera trial and my buddy had a Suzuki AP 50, but the coolest kids had the yamy FS1E, money well spent, looks in top condition.
