  1. Already done Donington park on my Gixxer 1000 moto gp rep road bike this year , also have Mallory booked for easter monday , Donington park again in april with uncle Ron Haslam , and also looking to do silverstone and oulton park before the end of may , i think i'm hooked on trackdays , which could mean i don't end up getting my dream ducati . But i'm loving the track and thinking of getting a cheap track bike , so i can save my gixxer for the road as it is really comfy for a sportsbike. Any suggestions on a track bike :grinning::upyeah:

  3. love the gixxer and also not looking to spend to much , been advised to look for a road bike as track bikes are or can have had a really hard life , pretty obvious really ;) but do understand the road bike way to go :upyeah:

  4. 600SRAD? Fits the cheap bit.

  5. Stay clear of road bikes unless you want to use it in the road IMHO. Race bike will prob have suspension sorted, right bits, plus WOW and spares. If you want smaller bike R6, zx6r and of that type

  6. defo wont be for the road but less likely to have been abused , just after something to learn on this year , the gixxer 1000 has been great , but always wary of binning it so feel like i have been holding back :( really want to improve and get out of the inters into the fast group by the end of the season:upyeah:

  7. Less power and getter suspension would be where I spend my money :)

  9. Get yourself a ride as the monkey on a outfit at Donington............then you might understand why I got hooked..........

  10. If anybody out there
A little out of my budget :(

  11. well that must have been cheap on for 1 day!

  12. I have put my feelers out for a trackbike hopefully get one soon , something to learn on and get faster and smoother on then hopefully step up to something a little better if all goes well :upyeah:

  13. Or...both feet and go race with Desmo Due series. A guy is offering a prepped 600 b bike for £500 loan cost, so no buy bike cost, spend money on track time and fun instead. Best way to get fast :)

  14. Track prepped mini twins sv650 would be my choice. I do love my twins [emoji6]

  15. Looking for something like a 600 - 750 but there is so many out there and im certainly not mechanically minded :upyeah:

  16. Having a tow bar fitted on tuesday £180 all in and hopefully get a trailer before Mallory easter monday , the ball is rolling , could do with some tyre warmers any recommendations.

  17. Diamond tyre warmers are good. Go for ones with elastic rather than drawer strings

Something like a gsxr is good and cheap to maintain. Lots or parts so you can upgrade in stages.

I've got a triumph Daytona 675 (as has @bradders). They make great track bikes and have lots of room to fettle as you get more into it
