I was told by Swift Leathers many years ago that for the best effect, you need to go to the local recreation ground - preferably an old-school one - and then you get the roundabout spinning fast and hang off it, dragging your knee on the asphalt. This will not work if the rec is a namby pamby new one with that springy rubber surface. Apparently those in the know can spot sandpaper from asphalt. You wouldn't get those neat black bits burned into the plastic!
Don't forget to get a bit of yellow and red paint on there, so it looks like you'd been sliding on the inside curb of the track. That's worth extra cool points with the boys at the biker cafe
Forgot about the paint. Top tip! Haha. I'll get around to it as soon as I've finished with the sandpaper on the edges of my tyres. [emoji23] What's the opinion on the zip length though? Acceptable for track days?
I've not seen a decent two piece where the zip meets in the middle, and most places just ask the zip to go from hip to hip My alpine stars 2 piece goes around a bit further than that, but not much, and I've used that and had it checked without issue
No worries If in doubt, call the track day organiser beforehand They're usually very helpful, and will sometimes have 1 piece suits you can hire for something like £40 I have a spare 1 piece dainese suit that I use only for track days, so if you're something like me @ 5.11/80kgs, then you're welcome to borrow it
I just got that jacket as well. On sale from ducati Aylesbury. £299. Got some delta pro c2 pellet trousers this week as well. Went out today in them for the first time. Loved them. If they are a bit tight I was told that they can stretch up to 10%. Mine are just right which is weird as nothing ever usually fits.
You've gone and gotten the exact same as me then. If you we turn up at the same party wearing them, i'll be fuming :tearsofjoy:. Tried to stretch the trousers out a bit this evening. They fit like a glove when I tried them but once stretched, they should be a bit more roomy.
grow a pair.. or a paddock stand and a rasp for the back... not sure about the front.. maybe the same but get the wife to spin it whilst you apply the rasp....
