Has anyone been able to negotiate a good deal on a 959 yet. I'm keen to get one bought but the silly looking standard exhaust keeps holding me back. If they offered a good discount to go towards the cost of sorting an under belly exhaust I would push the button tomorrow!
Why would someone discount a newly launched product? They might when it doesn't sell in the volumes they'd hoped but for the time being I would safely say there's nothing to be had discount wise.

well what ive herd off two dealers they aint selling well and no such thing as not getting a discount they say no walk away pick up the phone you will get a discount, after all the cans are a pisstake,
I have been keeping an eye out for a 1299 exhaust and lower panel at a good price, but If that offer was on it may well have got me to pull the trigger.
It's was shown on one of the Ducati dealers website on the weekend. Stupidly I didn't take note on who it was, I thought it was Aylesbury but just taken a look and can't find it. It was offering the arkrapovic slip on tail pipes included in normal retail pricing. I personal think these look dreadful and would prefer the under belly exhaust. Just not prepared to pay a small fortune for the privilege!

I wouldn't have said that the discount is due to popularity or lack of but more about the time of year, it literally is the time of year when everyone wants to think about bikes again and so I think the dealers feel confident. The 899 did have winter exhaust deals but it really helped keep the lights on in dealers when really they are generally relying on the odd service job and odd sale to tick over. I would register interest f2f with a few and then close to the end of the month when sales targets are coming up then perhaps one will cut his nose off, but it won't be loads and loads, it's likely to be a free first service, maybe heavy discount on some parts and maybe free GAP or a discount on alarm. The exhaust argument really is mute point IMHO, we were all 'outraged' but don't let it get in the way of what will be an incredible bike. I truly love my 899, it's just the best bikes I've ever ridden and that may even be above my 250 2-strokes which I think is the strongest statement I could make
Hi Phil Thanks for taking the time to write up a sensible response. I registered my interest with my local dealer a few weeks back. Being honest I'm not holding my hopes up on any form of response as like others have said it is a new bike. My biggest concern is they end up being slow sellers due to the exhaust issue which could push Ducati to offer some form of exhaust incentive to help sales.
