  1. I bought one today. Seems just the same as all the ones for sale elsewhere. It has the speed display function. Fits the bike well too.....

  2. Great. I'm looking forward to getting mine again.

  3. That's obviously where the Wehrmacht went wrong, they used cheap German sourced satnavs once they'd left Western Europe only to get hopelessly lost in the East.

  4. What European maps has it got?

  5. This is the picture taken from the box showing the maps covered.

  6. Hi, does it have the blue tooth function to a headset / integrated headset helmet ?

  7. It does. I've got an Interphone headset and it connects fine.

  8. Thanks for that mate. Just waiting for mine in the post. Looks like Aldi got their product description completely wrong !
Battery life at 1 hour was another alarm bell but I expect that's wrong too as the Garmin website states 'up to 7 hours'.

  9. Had not realised the Aldi special buys could now be purchased online. Thanks!

  10. I'd recommend plugging it in for an update when you get it. Mine updated the firmware and maps straight away. Seemed to make mine more responsive than when first switched on. My first planned trip to test it is to the Lake District.....Can't wait for a nice day!!!!

  11. I had notification mine is with the courier today.

An important feature I'm looking forward to using is BaseCamp creating a route then uploading it. Very useful hopefully.

  12. good value but no bluetouth

  13. One of you is mistaken...

  14. usually use my phone with co-pilot navigation, but thought f''' it and ordered the zumo from aldi.
thanks for helping me spend my money, I'm sure the missus will be thrilled.

  15. Mine arrived this afternoon. Installed the software on my computer, updated the maps, installed BaseCamp and Maps on the Mac (some problems as the package isn't signed properly so OS X won't let you double click install...). Now charging.

Now the problem is where to fix on the Monster. I hadn't appreciated how chunky the bracket would be. Was really hoping for something more low profile...

  16. So I got it on the bars. The position is not bad... A little worried about not getting the bolts fully on as the bars are too thick at this point so might have to move it outboard slightly.

  17. yeah looks a little tight on the bolts.

is the bar narrower the wider you go? towards the grips more?

  18. So wasn't happy with version 1 and moved the clamp outboard as much as I can with out fouling the clutch line. Now I'm closer to full thread on the clamp. It will fit between the clutch lever clamp and grip, or even on the clutch lever clamp using the supplied fittings but looks ridiculous on a bike that already has had it's OEM mirrors swapped for bar ends :grinning:. However, not sure why garmin couldn't have added a few mm to the thread for people not riding bicycles.
