At last I made a decision! Last autumn my BMW F800ST had a battery problem which took a while to sort out, in the meantime I started riding my hubby's ST2. He bought his 848 last summer and rides it all the time. I took the ST2 out a few times and just loved it. I felt more confident cornering, preferred the more forward riding position, and adored the sound of it - so much so that I decided to sell the F800 and, rather guiltily, switch my allegiance from BMW to Ducati. I fancied an ST3s because it has ABS, and I rather fancied a red bike, but gradually the older ST2 has grown on me so much I want to keep it. And so my very kind Hubby has donated it to me (no doubt it will cost me a thousand cups of tea and many homemade Bakewell tarts and fruit cakes! I'm still trying to decide on a name for the ST2!
I hope you are talking about Mr Kipling Bakewell Tarts and not the Original Bakewell Pudding, the locals don't take kindly to the reference Tarts. Pleased your enjoying the bike though. Mr Angry of Bakewell.
Welcome, lovely machine! Also recently moved in to the Ducati family. Nice and very knowledgeable bunch on here! Enjoy.
She has had me taking it to bits today to fit a mark 2 modified headlight and to fit a windscreen screw that was missing. That screw has been missing for ages but it never bothered me! She now wants a new brake fluid reservoir cap as hers is not black and shiny. I think that she has noticed that the cap on the 848 is the same as her ST2.
Thank you! I've actually been a member for a while but don't always have a lot to contribute, certainly not technically. Hubby, Bob T does that for me!
hello and welcome to the slightly dysfunctional family... seen some of your earlier posts, good on you for seeing the light! hope you have many many miles of fun!
I kept thinking 'Dezmo' might suit - because Bob enlightened me about valves, then I thought that may be too common so it might be 'Enzo'!
