Webuyanybike.com

  1. Any body had a quote from Webuyanybike.com? I'm thinking about a change of bike so I thought I would see what it's worth and they quoted me £5900 for my 59 plate 1098 sf . I still need to see what the part ex value is at a dealer and then decide which path to take.

  2. I have no experience of the bike site, but if they are anything like their car buying counterpart, what you are quoted is nowhere near what the offer turns out to be.
Was quoted £9000 for my car online, on visiting the site and having the car inspected, (it was EXACTLY as i'd said), the offer was a derisory £8100. Needless to say I was walking until he improved his offer considerably.

Try to get some idea from MCN/dealers before you contact them. Just be aware the offer you get on viewing will undoubtedly be considerably less than their online quote.

    Good luck, keep us posted.

  3. I know a Guy who works for these companies, 2 things why you'll find not worth checking them out unless you've got bailiffs at your house banging for money you haven't got,
    1) Bonus is placed upon their purchased price from you and sold price at auction or trader.
    2) They prey on the fact that you've tried to sell unsuccessfully on various other platforms and have run out of ideas!

unless your desperate for cash then you will haggle more discount from a seller than you will from these .com sites

  4. There was a relatively low miler (circa 7000 miles if I remember correctly) on Ebay recently from an independent dealer at £6000 start price with no reserve that didn't sell. I thought it was cheap.
Have you tried webuyanybike.co.uk for a comparison? Superbike factory buy a lot of bikes too.

  5. I decided to try them last year when I wanted rid of my 848. Had been offered £5,500 from an Indy dealer and webuyanybike offered me £4,500. I know 848s can be had cheap but they take the piss. As said above, unless you have the heavies at your door, don't waste your time.

  7. Got a car quote from them once. It was a complete insult followed by a billion junk e-mails. Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
Its a great bike. Unless yours is high mileage and scruffy its got to be worth 7K. Spring is here. It'll sell. Be patient and sell it privately.

  8. Got about 1.1k more for my R1 when I sold it privately. The phone calls did not stop once I'd put my details in.

  9. We buy any car (as far as I know) is owned by British car auctions - makes sense.
I wonder where we buy any bike actually flog their bikes? I've seen a the odd add on ebay and even some parts ads too.

  10. Webuyanybike are Rite Bike on Ebay from West Yorkshire (but I think that is the .co.uk not .com) they buy through webuyanybike business and sell through Rite Bike.
They used to be Viva Moto I think it was... or something like that :)

  11. I went to webuyanybike in Oldham, Manchester. Haven't seem them anywhere else

  12. We burgle any car.com actually sell all the cars they buy through BCA Blackbushe under a completely different name - most people bid on these cars thinking they are direct from a major leasing/contract hire company direct. The trade steer well clear and usually go to lunch when that section goes under the hammer - we know that a lot of them are multi ownership vehicles, some with under the Arches service history and various other stories? BCA now own webuyanycar.com after buying out the two brothers who originally started it up for a vast amount of money

  13. Other things you need to know are that the figure you get quoted online or on the phone is just the "Hook" to get you to make a firm appointment at one of their branches.I doubt there are many punters who have actually recieved the full figure that they first quote you? When you arrive for your appointment they go through your car paperwork like an inland Revenue forensic accountant looking for anything such as a late or overdue service, short mot, more than 2/3 owners etc - all ammunition they can use to chip you on the quoted figure. The car appraisal is even more picky - it's more like CSI than a purchase inspection - the tinyest stonechip to paintwork or screen, tyre tread depths and if matching makes, interior stains, the smallest marks on alloys or hubcaps - absolutely anal - all ammunition to chip you!The buyers are paid only by commission %age of how much less they can steal your pride and joy from you that you were originally promised. Then they hit you with an Admin fee, same day payment charges and even bank transfer charges! They work on the principle that they are dealing with desperate sellers, people with baliffs, banks and finance companies knocking on their door who think they have found the answer to their financial plight and now they are there will take the last minute chip on the chin? They are total scum

  14. Basically,if you ever fancy yourself as a car dealer and want to try and save yourself a few quid by buying at auction - if you are going to a BCA branch steer well clear of the UKCGR section and UKCGR PRESTIGE sale as they enter all webuyanycar.com vehicles under the UKCGR (UK CAR GROUP).They nearly always slot them between Inchcape Group and Mercedes Benz Retail Direct vehicles and usually "forget" to announce its a different section from the rostrum! That way the novice private punter sticks his mitt in the air thinking he's bidding to own a fleet/lease/contract hire Direct from the company not some privately owned car that you could probably buy off Autotrader for considerably less!BCA will also add onto your purchase an indemnity fee that is about 10 times more expensive than motortraders and BCA account holders pay.Guess who happens to own the insurance company that writes the indemnity insurance policies??? Yep,you got it! BCA

  15. I sold my old GSXR-750 to them about 3 years ago.
Initially I tried auto trader but had no luck. Living in Cornwall most people weren't willing to travel all the way down here to look at it.
The initial quote was way too low but the next day they phoned and I haggled a price of £4500. I could probably of got £5000 if i sold it privately but I didn't want the hassle involved. It was pretty simple after that. They gave me a collection day, a guy turned up in a large transit van, loaded it and gave me the cash for the bike. I think they collect from certain areas on certain days. There were 4 other bikes in the van.
A week later I was curious so I checked auto trader and it was for sale at a dealers in Yorkshire for £6500!! Way overpriced. It didn't sell until they dropped the price to £5900.
Overall it was an efficient service. As long as you realise you won't get top dollar for your bike and they need to make money on the deal too.

  16. Thanks for the advice, I might sell it privately . It's only done 5000 miles and I've owned it from new

  17. You should get way more than £5900 for it.

  18. I put the feelers out on my 749 to upgrade, westealyourbike.com offered £1100, after a phone call they upt offer to 1500..... !!!

  19. Not worth it sell it privately
