  1. Ok guys that's helped a lot! Thanks everyone.

Just done a 50 mile ride. Now realised its a lot better than it was before (only had short journey last night in the rain) and taking into account your experiences I think things are good!

  2. (1) yes and (2) yes !
    1) Yes. 2) yes. The suspension has to move. No or very little movement = problem. Sounds to me that your suspension wasn't right before but is now.

  3. 3 things I love about skyhook and make it worth the 2k extra
    1) it behaves exactly the same regardless how hard/soft you brake. So if it has lots of dive, its consistent whether 10 mph to stop or 80mph into a 20mph roundabout
    2) the faster you go, the less you notice road debris and potholes
    3) adjustemt on the fly to lower the seat (making super soft) and firming up when I am cracking on with a simple 5 second process at any speed

Like any suspension, it does need some adjustment to make right for rider weight and riding style

  4. The travel in the front end looks the same as mine to me.
Just put some pr4's on mine, and put a 14T on the front. Used to get a bit of a shake on under hard acceleration sometimes but it was now happening far too often for my liking. Ended up putting it in sport and pillion with luggage.
Sorted it right out and no way near as hard as thought it would be.
The only drawback is I can't touch the floor now!

  5. Absolutely right. I agree with this @bradders . The way it is soft when you want it soft and then hard as soon as you want it hard is just magic - isn't that what everyone wants?

  6. Not that I'd know but don't they do a little blue tablet for that :)

  7. I'm finding mine really hard to ride in Sport on rough roads, it's bouncing me out of the seat. OK in Touring.
    Need to have a fiddle!

  8. It could be my thickness , however I can't seem to find a pre load adjuster on my DVT , or have I misread and the preload is all adjusted in the menu on the clock?
    thx in advance

  9. It's on top of the right fork off the top of my head.

  10. cheers for that , was looking on the bottom . and its 15kg for every clockwise click ?

  11. Front or rear? Front as said above and rear via the UI

  12. I would make a joke here, but currently not appropriate. ..:Angelic:

  13. Yeah I meant front
    Currently looks like this

  14. And just out of interest. , what do peeps have their rears set at ?

  15. Wind it all the way out then in based on 1/4 turn per 15kg of weight (search the forum, from memory so may not be right)

That seems to have worked great for me so far

  16. Cheers bradders , so do your arrows not line up anymore?
    Thx

  17. Well, I was setting up a joke ready for somebody to come up with a punchline ...

  18. No they are simply an indication of turns

  19. Smashing I will have A mess about with it and see how it feels
The link on page 1 mentions 15kg per turn
I'm about 90kg in my gear so will see what 5-6 full turns feels like
    Thanks for the help

  20. Thats the starting point, then tweek from there. Worked well for me.
