Don't mention the weather, you'll jinx it I've had a fiddle with my track bike today, and it's running sweet now, so I might just bring that to save having to lug two bikes in the van I'm more nervous about leaving them in the van overnight at the hotel to be honest
Me and a couple of mates did Brands last year and left three Pani's on a trailer in the hotel car park overnight.............in hindsight not too clever but all were there in the morning.
Trying to buy my old 1098S trackbike back off a chap at the moment, only problem is that he want's to sell it back to me for £1800 more than he paid for it, and that is without all the spares I gave him, wheels, tank, discs, race bodywork. etc. So it will be the RSV4 for this event, hopefully get my 996 ready for the Ducati trackdays later in the year.
Just got mine back together ready for Almeria in a few weeks. Sorry to read about your off at Almeria, where abouts did you bin it out of interest. I'll tip toe round that bit. Hope it wasn't turn 2. I love that corner but in a 'dice with danger' kind of way. I'll be gutted if I smash this to bits!:cry:
It was indeed turn 2, last day of our 4 day event, some nice footage of the bike upside down and five feet in the air at about 90 mph, with dust coming off everything, and me not far behind. I had to have a little lie down in the med centre in Almeria after that one. The bike survived remarkably well considering the violence of the crash, you know what those gravel traps in Almeria are like. Donington on Tuesday will just be a test for the bike and me before we go off to Portimao in early May.
Oh bugger. My mate totaled his Panigale R on turn 2. It was mangled to the tune of 20k! A long story. Did your front end wash out? Its definitely a squeaky bum corner. I hope you weren't too badly injured and your beer drinking hand was ok? I'll be in Almeria when you're in Portimao (ace track too). Enjoy!
Lost the front, and looking at the footage, it was going for a long time, huge black line coming off it before it finally had enough, totally my fault. Just looking forward to getting back out there, starting at Donington. Mary Hinge, really like your bike, wish I hadn't sold mine, enjoy Almeria, I still think its a great track, and will be back there this year.
Howdo! Gonna be there Monday and Tuesday, however monday looks pants at the mo. Will be on a Daytona 675 in the inters.

phoned up the other day to ask about the event, its going to be a chrono one. If you are not aware of what this is (as i wasn't at the time) they use transponders on your bike, you got out set a time and then they put you into a group with riders who have similar times, which sounds like a great idea! Just as i was seeing if i could get the time off mrs phones me, got a problem with the car (one i would use to tow with) DPF filter gone, intrument cluster frazzled and air temp sensor gone, so that put an end to me bookin that up :disappointed:
I've just finished the sprucing of my track bike, and I'll be heading up tonight to a b&b at donnington Think I've buggered my back picking up my genny though, so might be a day of painkillers tomorrow
