Hi Folks, I was wondering if anyone new 959 owners have experienced the following. The lower left fairing has been rubbed by the front wheel, removing some paint. Dealer was only able to simulate this on full lock with suspension bottoming out, with a view it has possibly happened bumping onto a kerb with full lock on. The fact is that this has happened nor did I feel that I was travelling at any pace cornering when the suspension bottom out, i.e. maybe hitting a pothole i would have noticed that for certain. I am in the run in period so no aggressive riding, it was my fellow biker friends who actually noticed it during our run, which wasn't there at the start of the run appeared mid run. Not sure if the manufacture setup has configured the bike suspension setup to soft and is the root of the problem. Dealer has been very supportive and made a minor adjustment to suspension.
2,000 miles on mine and it hasn't happened to me thankfully. I haven't messed with the suspension settings, but I can confirm that is pretty firm
So far I find the suspension very soft The rebound in particular is very soft and at times feels like it's bouncing around a lot I will have a play around with it or try the track settings in the manual and see what it's like.
Ive had this on my 1299. Getting new fairings and a spacer kit fitted this Thursday. Ducati are aware of the problem and have released the spacer kit to stop it happening.
Haven't a clue to be honest. Stuart at Moto Rapido has sorted it for me. I'll find out more on Thursday and let you know.
No rubbing, but looking like Ducati will sort, I'm not worried about a replacement panel. Could you feel it rubbing when moving?
