Hi All, If i can get a pass this saturday i am going to head down to Loomies Cafe sat morning Leaving the Egham area around 10AM Will any one be down at Loomies on sat, will swing by Rykas on the way back S
It's right beside a garage & cross-roads. They do okay food but it can be expensive for the quality offered. Unlike the super-sausage cafe which if you are ever in the area of A5 (watling street) - NN12 7QD ...is highly recommended establishment & totally a biker themed venue. On a side-note; the local police use unmarked speed trap vans all around that area. You have received your one & only warning!
As said lots of unmarked bikes and cars on the 272, as for food that garage does a spot on homemade pie! Curry pasties and all sorts, and like I say served with a smile The smile is free
well if all plans well and I am there this weekend will let you all know if I had a pie or what not from the garage and let you know how I rate there smiles
lol, well last time I had chips etc they near threw them at me! And the time before that 1h:40mins for a burger! And defo no smiles, the owner said I lied about the order! What a twat... otherwise great place to go...lol
well in that case I will stick with a pork pie and can of coke from the service station, No Wait, Can of drink will not fit under the seat, Pork pie will mind tried that before
Who was the owner at the time? Leon & Jane? Or the new guys (they've been there a couple of years now, I think). I don't excuse the throwing of chips at customers but anyone expecting quick, blemishless service at a time when the café is as busy as that place can be, is living in a dream world
I don't live in a dream world. The staff have been rude to me and my partner on a number of occasions, two of those times the cafe was not busy, busy or not there is no need to be rude as I for one am happy to shop for food elsewhere as I now do. Also the same has happened to my mates, we all see the funny side of these things BUT we all now eat elsewhere. The old owners were great, told those who needed to be told to F off, BUT were open and easy going people, funny too, shame they moved on. I live local to loomies so am gutted about the way I have been spoken to but hay...no big deal they have plenty more customers.
That's pretty shameful service as you describe it. I would take my custom elsewhere too, in your shoes. I do miss Jane's commentary when she was calling out the orders ready for collection
@Loz , same here, Jane and crew were a laugh, was funny the things that got said over the PA lol It's a great place to meet up. I am sure others will get a great service but I'm diddly done..haha edit: anyway they have my thanks coz dammm those pies are good!!
Keep going, along 272 and pick up the road to south harting then to Goodwood, breakfast in the cafe watching planes. Then back north via 284 I think is ther road that heads Doring way and Egham. Much better
The B2141 from south Harting to nearly in Chichester must be the best road for fast bikes in Sussex. That cafe at Goodwood airport was demolished last year, haven't been back this year yet to see if there has been a replacement.
New building in place now but not sure it will be open to public again as looks as though it will be air school/air activities only from now on. You can go to clubhouse roughly opposite on the other side of the track now just as you could 30 years ago.
