1098 Old Style Termi To Slash Cut Upgrade

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by Ducat1, Apr 7, 2016.

  1. Thinking of swapping my old style termi slip on cans for the newer slash cut style on my 1098s - purely for aesthetics. Does anyone know if the ECU is the same for both?
Any other issues doing this upgrade? I know you need the extra bit of pipe but is it just a straight swap?

    Many thanks.

  2. Yep, the slip on ECU is the same for both. I did the same on my old 1098s and didn't even bother taking the new ECU out of the box, just swapped the cans.

I think the slash cut slip on's were about £1k and I sold the old ones for about £600 (at the time). £400 just for a little more posing power. :) But like you, I'm shallow. :Shamefullyembarrased:

  4. Cheers, looks nice. Was it a straight forward swap? Any difference in noise?

    Thanks.

  5. Couldn't be any easier. No difference in sound, to my ears anyway.
