That's what I don't understand, the Ducati is a completely different bike compared to the Stoner Days and the Rossi days its almost like apples and oranges, so not sure why people still perceive it as being a beast? Don't get me wrong all GP bikes are beasts to us mere mortals but the Duke has come along leaps and bounds and this is being backed up by rider results and what the riders are saying. Casey went on record to say how the chassis is forgiving and the engine is sorted. The fastest bike on the grid and the riders are saying how smooth the power delivery is, this bike will be a race winner in the right hands. I honestly think we may see a win this year but if not and Lorenzo does ride for Ducati in 2017 a win will definitely come.
Some people don't take a objective look at situations and form their own opinion Bazz, simply regurgitating words that other people have said in the past. :Meh:
1 Jorge LORENZO Yamaha SPA 330 2 Valentino ROSSI Yamaha ITA 325 3 Marc MARQUEZ Honda SPA 242 4 Dani PEDROSA Honda SPA 206 5 Andrea IANNONE Ducati ITA 188
I think he might, at the end of the day they are there to earn money and if they are going to pay him twice what Yamaha were then he is likely to go for it. Watching them all ride though in Qatar, it was obvious that all Ducati's seem to be a point a squirt bike, I agree that gone are the days of it being an 'animal' bike but I do perhaps feel it's strengths are in the point and squirt style. I'm sure of this because Dovi was a high corner speed rider on the Yamaha, which is known for it. I hope that if Lorenzo goes there he doesn't try to turn it into a Yamaha and plays to it's strengths instead, Crutchlow for example did best on the bike when he relaxed and just took it on face value I think. Either way, none of us want to see the same old team set ups next year with no new riders getting a factory shot... Dovi has had his chance, Iannone also IMHO, they are good riders but not improving and so it's time to move things around.
dream team? the sports 1st and 2nd most boring riders, taking 1st and 2nd places every gp, id rather take the phani out on the salt covered roads, naked!
What stance will Yamaha take for the rest of the season with Lorenzo if he does go? Will focus their efforts on Valentino or just provide the same level of support as they want the triple crown again?
Typical MCN.... 'Lorenzo to make ducati switch' followed by 'looks likely' in the first sentence..... They must be confident because they have got these headlines wrong before.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Maybe like when Crutchlow left Tech 3 all the updates seemed to stop according to Cal, Factory support and info went to his team mate, I am sure the same will happen here.i know they have a contract with JL but would they risk him leaking some info or taken info at the end of the season, I think Vale will get the updates first then slowly trickle to JL,
That Simon Patterson bloke is putting his arse on the line, sort of a similar situation to @Mr C comment :tearsofjoy: David Emmet from motomatters also seems to think its a done deal too
In Yamaha's eyes, Crutchlow was a non entity, did they do that to Rossi when he was leaving?. Lorenzo is their best shot at another title, I believe it won't affect what they do with him this year at all. Why bite your nose off to spite your face? All that would do is possibly hand Marques more wins. The development of next year's bike is another thing. I think he's get zero input and not see it.
So Lin Jarvis is going to be in the Jerez press conference to announce Lorenzo's move to Ducati, according to David Emmett...
'tis official then Yamaha and Lorenzo set to go their separate ways after 2016 Other news: Has anyone noticed Chorley Town Hall doesn't seem to have any steps just a ramp
