  3. Came from a Rugby Tour in 1995, tour theme was "Gladiators" with traditional drink related fines for failing to answer to your Gladiator name.
    As a relatively new member not many of my team mates knew my real name and it just stuck. That and I only come out when the sun shines. :biggrin:

  9. My old LC wore a numberplate with "Hedgehog" on the bottom of it for a very similar reason when I was 17. My Renault 11 turbo also wore "Hedgehogs blowjob" at the same time. Ahh, the days when a 17 year old could insure 350LC and a Renault turbo on an apprentice turners wage....

    Given my exploits in Devon a couple of years ago on a CBR 600 perhaps I should have "Hedgehog returns" now....

    Because I knew that plenty of people wouldn't know what it was......
    Because I knew plenty of people wouldn't be able to spell it.....
    Because of that I knew there wouldn't be anyone else with it......
    and because a 'few' number of years ago, involvement in the development of a specialist type of shotgun cartridge caused me to be told "it was like standing behind a f*****g arquebus.....just as dangerous behind it as being in front"
