  1. Sad day for me, I have a day of work so I took the cat to the vets to be put to sleep, she was a stray that adopted us seven years ago, I have never been a lover of cats untill this one won me over, such a soft natured girl, I loved her to bits, she has been going down hill for a few weeks and hasn't eaten anything for a couple of weeks, I couldn't bear to see her deteriorating any more.
    RIP Poppy.

  5. Closure today, we cremated my sister's body this afternoon. Her closest and oldest friends, nursing staff from the care provider and several of my closest friends who knew her joined me to say a final farewell. Whilst sharing a great sadness, everyone contributed happy memories so there was laughter to replace the tears. I think a beer is in order tonight and time enough to start the legal paperwork tomorrow. The sympathy and good wishes from the guys and girls on this forum have been greatly appreciated. Andy

  6. You realise the importance of those around you at such times, my deepest sympathies, and I'm glad you had people around you to carry your sister off to the next plain.

  8. Think I've entered another dimension as I'm absolutely sure it's about 10:30am, yet it's apparently 7:38pm. Who stole Thursday? [emoji58]

Consoled myself over the apparent theft of nine hours by changing the manky screws on the Ducati clutch cover with shiny new ones. Next job is to re paint it next time the fairing is off to get rid of the scabby bit...

  11. I've been pissing about with BT internet and other associated (sucking the life out of you) computer issues. :rage::mad:

  12. Okay now I will plastic weld it, yesterday I tried some Gorilla glue superglue, supposed to be really good for vibration but after leaving it 3 hours to cure before re-assembly it didn't last 5 miles.

I will also swap the solid dog bone mount on the De-cat for the rubber bushed oem one as I'm getting numb hands with all the vibration. (Note the tail light issue happened before the exhaust swap)

  13. Cleaning dog pee from kitchen floor, pissing with rain outside and she pee'd on floor so as not get wet in rain.
    Dont you just love them.

  15. Don't you just hate bureaucracy, when I registered my sister's death, I was given a unique reference number to use the gov.uk/tell-us-once service. Entered the number and filled in the boxes and pushed go .......... no, don't recognise that number. Enter it again and checked again ............. no don't recognise that number and if you f*ck up again, that number will be cancelled and you will have to phone us. Bollocks, I'll phone anyway and I'm beginning to believe the initial message starts with "we are experiencing a high level of calls and you could wait up to 30 minutes ...... but your call is important to us" regardless of whether they really are or not. When I finally spoke to a person, who by the way was very nice, and said about the internet site being pants, she said a lot of people had been having the same experience for a few weeks but I'm sure the'll fix it soon ! Being a glutton for punishment I started my tax return as well . Andy

  16. The Lexus ticked smoothly past 200,000 miles on my currently weekly trundle up the M4 today to Londinium.

"In my imagination" I floored it and the magic number came up just as I hit 100mph. As I say, just a dream....

200001 came up at 5mph on the M25.....
