Hi, I've just bought an 1199s and am awaiting delivery from the dealers. It is due to be picked up today and delivered on Saturday(hopefully in a box with a ribbon on it!) the reason for the delay in delivery is because I'm in Northern Ireland and the bike's in Laguna motorcycles. The reason I bought there? Best deal I could find in the country including privately! The last bike I owned was the Bmw s1000rr sport which I sold last February and haven't had a bike since(new house move etc) I also owned an 1198 about 4 years ago, beautiful bike which was very easy to hit three figures on without realising it. I had considered another s1000rr but while the bike is brilliant it just didn't stir the heart the way the 1199 does. It just makes you want to smile every time you see it. Will post pics when it arrives. Speak again soon.

Hi Mate welcome, 1199 S is a different animal to the 1198, the 98 is awesome but a pain to ride low down the 99 just goes and goes i have just had mine re-maped with tune-boy software a blipper and cruise control fan bloody tastic!:sunglasses:she now has a smooth curve right through the revs, easy to ride at 20mph in 2nd 30 in 3rd then just wind it on! by the way Chris at Xbikes in Wisbeach sorted her out

Ok ok, here you go. These are the photos as she arrived this morning. Just went straight out and put 150 mile on it. Can't wipe the smile off my face or stop the maniacal laugh inside the helmet! Bloody awesome. Vicious acceleration. Why would I have even considered another Bmw???! Ah well time to put another 150 on her!
