They'd never be allowed on the road where the risk of running into anyone with a carbon fibre guillotine on the side of your bike is low only in racing where its commonplace would this be allowed. They've banned disc brakes on road bikes in UCI cycle races because they could cut someone in a crash at 30 MPH but its OK at 175.
i think this will be or should be peddys year.. for the chop... i love him but if the results aint coming (be it a huge amount of bad luck in the past or lack of killer instinct and a bike thats not suiting him) he has to go. Loz's move and ktm coming in has brought in a much needed reshuffle but if peds dont get some wins....
Can't see him winning one this year, unless they get the Honda sorted,if he did leave I'm sure he would be snapped up pretty quick he is a class rider, but like you say he has had more than his share of bad luck..he must be in the record books for having won so many moto gp races and not have a moto gp title to show for it
I think honda will keep Danny. He's a regular podium so earning constructor points and good no2 to MM. Who are they going to sign as good as him apart from Vinales who might challenge MM which is probably not in the script.
glad Rossi stuffed it up them spanish cheats and on thier home track nice ! who is getting the other yamaha seat that would be a nice ride to have?
Rossi spent 10 years on the Michelins, he knows how to ride them. The new boys have little/no experience. I love game changers, may the best 'rider' win
what id love to see but will never happen... MV to stay put, redding (or even better lowes) on the vacant yam, zarco on the peddy bike, stoner on the other duke, rins to suzuki and dovi to ktm... lets mix it up
Binder looked really good to me. I don't know where he was in the early part of the race but when he appear eared around 5th you could see he was headed for the front. He just looked more confident than everyone else. Similarly Lowes looked a cut above the rest. If you were Yamaha would you be looking at him? Last year Lorenzo creamed it. Why not this year? We'll find out over the coming races I suppose. I can't help but wonder if it was a level playing field though.
I'd like to see pedroso on the vacant Yamaha seat, he seems a great guy and as said previously is a fairly reliable podium finisher. Great team mate material.
I desperately want to see Pedrosa win a championship, I think he deserves it. He's had some rotten luck and it would be a shame to throw him on the heap with a satellite bike to live out his days mid pack until he retires.
I don't think Yamaha will be looking at "team mate material" to be no. 2 to Rossi. They've had years of having 2 top riders capable of winning championships and they'll want this again. Now who that is, I don't know.
