Last years 'R' ie the 'panigale r' went back to conventional Ohlins rather than the leccy ones. Interested to know what u think of it when u get to test it out
Going to get the bike set up next week at ERS racing. I can tell from my short time tonight that it's alot more plush but more feedback aswell.
Disconnected is a perfect way of describing it. I think the front might be sprung slightly too light but it will be ok for the road riding I do.
Let me know though if u get really odd front tyre wear, assuming u are on pirellis still? I think mine is a touch soft but my tyre has worn really badly in 2k miles, lipped tread pattern, grove in it, and most searches suggest 'overly soft suspension'. I'll be honest, every Pirelli front tyre I have had regardless of bike has done it though.... So I'm giving Dunlop Sportsmart 2's a go as I liked them on my 848 and the Daytona and did Scotland on them without them being wrecked!
mine have worn the edges off the front, in a weird odd way below the 'cuts' i blame braking to the apex, are you a deep braker?
Nope, I really don't think I am, I'll ask my mates for an honest opinion but honestly I spent a long time riding 2 strokes so like nice smooth lines, also it's only on the right off centre which matches the road camber
i dont think its obvious to others really, I ride smooth, not a late aggressive braker, just brake well upto the apex, while bleeding off the pressure as I get closer. I suppose its the sides of the tyre that are worn, centre and edges still have good tread, I liken the pani to a fast 2 stroke
Found a rear Ducati performance stand from a 999 on Ebay last week for £20. It wasn't quite the right width, but was easy to bend out a little....
Fitted the Race Seat the other day. Tried it out today with a 450 mile round trip to London. It's like a plank of wood but more comfortable than the standard as you don't slide around so much. You do sit on it rather than in it, as a lot of comments on here suggest, and it'll take a little bit of getting used to as I found myself setting up for corners differently. Will see how it goes on a trip to Scotland at the weekend.
I definitely prefer the race seat. A lot easier to move side to side on and don't slide around as much.
Every time i get quotes for work they always quote more then Ducati Manchester so i end up going there. Also i got in contact with woods over a month ago about warranty work and still waiting for an answer...
