  2. Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor (MAP) is a known weakness. Fitted to both horizontal and vertical cylinders and if one goes the bike will use the other for reference. If both go, the bike won't tick over or run smoothly. Not a difficult job just time consuming with all the tank panels requiring removal. A couple of hours + if you do it yourself or 1.5 hours for workshop and you need the error resetting. Handle bar controls don't like the wet so the occasional spray of WD40 or electrical contact spray won't go amiss. Girlfriends Diavel has been very reliable so far (4 years old) and has been a real pleasure to ride. Andy

  3. That's a Delkevic exhaust - I put a Remus on mine and kept getting 'exhaust valve' ( or something ) messages on the display. Dealer said you can't just slap any exhaust on, probably meaning 'would you like to buy a £2000 Termignoni'.... It always ran better with the standard can if i'm honest.

    Nice bike btw....

  4. cheers guys, it looks like there is not a lot for him to worry about :grinning: , looking forward to swapping bikes on the next run !

  5. I've ridden Diavels with & without a Rexxer remap. I much prefer the bike with the remap, even with the standard exhausts. Better low speed flexibility, better fuelling & sharper pick up when accelerating.
Personally, I'd go for the remap in preference to an after market exhaust if funds are restricted.

I've heard good (anecdotal) reports of the Racefit exhaust for the Diavel, especially with the remap. But I also understand the Racefit can be incredibly loud. Each to their own & all that...

  6. A mate hey? Come on your amongst friends here, grab the leather chaps with both hands, splash the patchouli oil liberally over the cut off denim and admit it, you've bought a Diavel.

  7. ha ha i would buy one in a minute ..if i had the dosh! it would have to be the X Diavel though :yum::yum::yum:

  8. If he comes from a background of sports bikes - the suspension is a weak point

As above a remap works wonders - Openflash is plug n play and proven
    Tuneboy with QS is great

  9. cheers i will pass that on to him,no worries re suspension his other bike is a Harley

  10. ive put a hp corse on mine, no remap needed ,goes like hell and the missis reckons she can hear it 4 miles from our house. Isn't that all the fun lol
