  4. Anybody else going tomorrow?

  5. Would be interested to hear the results of noise testing now it is down to 102db's....

  6. You all missed a cracking day? 19 deg and sunny all day!
Since it was so under booked they combined the two inters groups and ran it as 3 groups rather than 4...result!

Noise testing...very strict indeed. My 1098R with 70mm system and little baffles measured 102.4 but they let me out and warned me about the drive by sound monitors. All went well.

However...fark me that bike is vicious! Beautiful handling etc but just so fast out of corners! I need to recalibrate my throttle hand! DTC didn't work properly so I switched it off after the first session.
    Great day!

  7. Glad you had a good day Richard and pleased to hear about the noise test. Seems it will just have to be the 1098R when we go to Brands, shame really :D. Andy

  8. I used these dinky little baffles that I got off eBay from Italy.
They don't appear to make much difference to the noise and don't affect the throttle response.

  9. Strangely, there were no other Ducati's on track* in any of the groups. Have the fascist noise police scared them all away?

*there was a 749S in my garage but it wouldn't start...despite having been ridden there that morning. I lent the guy my tools and we pulled the battery box off and replaced the fuel pump relay. It started again but only for a couple of minutes. Checked the neutral light connector, all basic stuff, fuses etc but it was no go. The dash would come on and it would turn over but the fuel pump wouldn't prime.
I reckon he'd also been faarked by Mr elitesuperbikeparts like @Sev as he said he had a "full race system" but I had to tell him that, alas, it was an asymmetric plus slip on...
