Fitted my Ducabike rearsets tonight. They came with no instructions so I used the photos that @Joe P posted, which I'm very thankful for as they were a bit of a PITA. Not had a chance to try them yet, hoping to get on the bike tomorrow... Sorry for crappy phone pics...
Ordered mine 4.55pm Friday and they turned up Saturday morning - result Pulled the old ones off by spraying hairspray under them with a 2mm Allen key, and fitted the new ones using the hairspray again 10 minute job, and they feel much nicer than the standard ones
Yeah, there is some lateral movement in the gear lever which I would have been concerned about if I'd not read your posts about them first. How is your up-shift? Is it a little stiffer than standard? My throw is really short but takes a little more effort to knock it up a gear. It's fine, I got used to it pretty quick, just wondered if I needed to play with the linkages a little maybe or if that's just the way they are?
Yes, shorter throw but a bit stiffer...that's physics I guess. Long lever, less force, but more distance...
Yep, I guess that makes sense! It's definitely a more precise action now though, you have to be assertive with the lever. Feels very 'racey' which I guess is the point!
They look so much nicer, feel nicer as well. I believe the Superleggera comes with these as standard..
My lever has a lot of movement...so much infact that this morning on my first ride out of the year my shinny new lever fell off 2 miles down the road!!!
