  1. Evening All,

Picked up my DVT Pikes Peak this morning from Ducati Leeds. Have to say Simon was a top lad and was a pleasure to deal with.

I chopped in my 2013 GS and got a reasonable deal plus the added bonus of zero hassle. So all in all I'm very happy. Happy not to have to ride a GS anymore, what a dull bike. God knows why I bought it!

I had a quick 120 mile ride home amd then got a few evo-tech bits fitted. Ive got a 42t sprocket to fit but I'll probably leave it for a week or two.

Here's a few crappy iPhone pics.

What's the best way to get the reflectors off the forks?

  2. I warmed the reflectors up with swmbo's hair dryer and ran a thin piece of electric wire down the back of the reflector (acted like a saw) you also could use fishing line if you have, once off it leaves the double sided tape on so you will need to peel it off.

  3. Nice pics, pity about the car! :)
I've got some Evo Tech bits to fit over the weekend.

  4. It's a diesel, but in my defence it is a 320bhp diesel so it's not all bad.

Being an Audi, I naturally drive it like a cock!

  5. Looks Good, but I really wish Ducati would fit number plate, and light to crud catcher, and dump the complete rear tail section, ON all their bikes

  6. Get rid of that hideous bit of plastic behind the rear wheel ... WTF were they thinking when they put that on there ... other than that loving the colours

  7. @Packman nothing stopping you taking off that is the difference :)

  8. I was the other way round, couldn't wait to sell my DVT and get on my 2016 GS.

    Enjoy it :)

  10. Just picked up my dvt s too, sadly not a pikes peak. P/X for a grand tourismo.
You had any luck with the Multi link app, mine says the last 5 numbers of frame don't match up so it wouldn't link!
Also my heated grips are Not very hot, any ideas?
Still very chuffed with It though.

  12. I miss that Aprilia, shouldn't have sold it. I wouldn't mind, I didn't need to. I intended to put it away for a few years and ride the GS in the meantime. I got it in my head that someone deserved to enjoy it. Anyway, you live and you learn.

I almost rang the dealer after I'd place the order for the PP to tell him to bang the full system on. At 2 large it's a fair investment and I wasn't sure how I'd get on with the standard Termi. So, it's too quiet and I'm ignoring my inner monologue to wait until next year. I'll let you know how I get on.

  13. By the way, I have a cash offer on the table if you decide to part yours out!!!

  14. I needed a few goes to get the frame number to load. Three or four from memory.

I've not tried my heated grips yet. Can't imagine they will be as good as the GS.

  15. He was ripping you off then, you can get them fitted cheaper than that for sure

  16. You are running it in with normal exhaust & at the first service getting them to pop the termi system on it, surely?!!!?

  17. Thread moved and welcome Dave, from Holmfirth :)

  18. Please don't tempt me!

  19. Shame you can't get a de-cat to use with the stubby termi .
