For the week or so make sure you are maticulous about washing your hands if you are going anywhere near your eye. When I had cataract surgery, the surgeon said the biggest risk to recovery was infection. If your eye doesn't feel right, gets red or feels hot, get down A&E straight away and ask for antibiotic drops. Good luck and best wishes for a speedy recovery. Andy
This is what the walk in centre gave me...Antibiotic gel. And the advice to go to hospital if it doesn't feel any better by Monday. It's feeling better already, fingers crossed.
Looks bloody pro job! Mine is a total disgrace - last time I went in it I nearly had a heart attack - there was a very big Fox asleep in the corner who was as surprised as me!
Last year a police helicopter was up over Slough chasing some scummy car thieves one night and their heat sensitive thing under the chopper picked up heat escaping from garages/big cabins and garden sheds so they automatically think it's a growing room operation and log the coordinates so they can put the door in at 4/5.00am a couple of days later? Yes,they found a couple of smalltime grow operations but nearly all were rented out accommodation and not crappy squats either! All fitted out with kitchenette, shower rooms etc with people paying £7/800 a month
Yes but it's "old school" - you just can't secure an old she'd like mine properly so the local rednecks who collect strimmers, mowers, any type of power tools, garden furniture etc will chaw everything! If you put a proper lock and beef up the security they know there's something worth nicking and makes them even more determined? I would like to move the shed and dig a 40ft hole with sheer sides and then stick the shed back in place? What were those pointed bamboo sticks called the North Vietnamese stuck in the ground at bottom of a deep hole and smeared the points with their shit?
I was cutting some of that car polishing muslin cloth last summer to polish some T cut off a car bonnet and shook the bit I had cut to get rid of the bits of cloth so it didn't blow all over car?Must have done exactly same thing a million times in 42 years of car dealing but I caught myself in the eye! Bloody hell it was sore for 2/3 days and constantly watered nonstop and I kept rubbing it which just aggravated it even more? A & E told me exact same thing - I'd scratched eyeball surface and gave me antiseptic gel which was like rubbing salt in an open cut.In the end an old fella who worked 50 years in a foundry told me to get a brandy or wine glass, make sure it was spotless and deff dust free and half fill it with warm/room temp water and hold it over open eye and tip your head back - bloody worked 100%
Got the little sis (11) over for the weekend so took her to Go Ape. Fun day and now I'm making her sit through Dirty Rotten Scoundrels so that she can see what a real comedy is like. Favourite film!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The base of my back is bloody killing me! I'm ok standing but sitting is agony with any weight on it.I think I've done my Coccyx (no jokes please!) cos I had the exact same pain about 25 years ago when I landed flat on my Arse/base of back showing my son and his mates how good (not) I was on a skateboard.I know from last time it's a sort of boney tail at base of spine that doesn't really do anything? Thank god I've got some tramadol tablets in drawer that were left over after the NHS stole my left Nut this time last year! Maybe I will be able to get some kip?
I feel for you. My son accidentally scratched a chunk of my cornea off a few years ago. Worst pain ever. Hope it gets better soon.
This morning I was out on the Scrambler and met up with @bettes. We had a run over to Squires and had a coffee. When we arrived there were literally hundreds of old school "rockers" there on a rally. The average age must have been 70yo. Some even walked with walking sticks Anyway after about ten mins or so they all rode off to Scarborough to recreate the '60's I think From there I set off for home as I had to get washed, changed and back out with SWMBO to go to Leeds to my granddaughter's fourth birthday party. But first things first.......I had to go and watch the Boro vs Brighton game in the pub? The atmosphere in the pub was brilliant. And the end result even better, which put me in a great mood to deal with 30+ kids at a birthday party All in all its been a great day. Tomorrow is the Panigale's turn for a run out. This time with Matt46 and we are off to Matlock
Got to say goodbye to ELSA my Bengals last kitten tomorrow as he is going to an elderly couple in the Cotswolds. He is last of her 4 kittens to go and although the little bundles of fur have been hard work at times I'm really gonna miss them ALL.I am happy that they have all gone to loving life homes and Proper people - all of whom have kept me updated. Here he is Billy (no mates)
