  1. Hi all, would anyone have the above they'd like to part company with, it's for the rear brake calliper mounting bracket and it's the outer one I need, I can get one from Ducati but I'm loathed to pay £37 !!! FFS !!!!
    Cheers

  2. I had the same issue recently when Ducati wanted £650 for a radiator. I decided to go down the route of a Chinese one for £56.

Why don't you order a Chinese top hat, although they do look like this......

  3. That one is the washer that fits in the sprocket carrier.....

  4. Yeah, not aware of any spacer on the RHS, certainly for my bike anyway.

  5. I think he means these bushes....

  6. Ah is it underslung? I have the earlier one

  7. If I had dimensions I can make them in alloy only on my minilathe

  8. That's right Al, it's #40 in the diagram, unfortunately I don't know the dimensions, but 37 quid is a piss take !!
So frustrating, I only need it to have the back end finished

  9. Good thought, but would need to be in steel I think - 38 and 40 bear on each other, and the bearing areas may not be sufficiently large if done in alloy

  10. If that is a floating bracket/plate, steel will wear the ally unless there is another fixed bush in the bracket/plate; which there appears to be according to the parts manual - I guess that one is phosbronze.

  11. I think I would tend to bite the bullet and buy it Simon, I can think of several machinists and the one I trusted last (in Woking) I can confidently say would ask £25 to make it , Plus you've got to drive there twice not to mention generating an accurate, toleranced drawing correctly, and then trusting that the chat making it will do so correctly. I hope you notice that I am laying down the gauntlet here for others to say it isn't so and then we can ask them where they can get it made cheaper/ convenient journey time. ;)

  13. Lol, yeah find the other one...

  14. Si,
If someone can supply a sketch with dimensions I can turn one up for you, have a good size lathe, steel or possibly stainless if I have the diameter metal in stock. Mine is a 93, not underslung so can't measure it myself.

  15. Have to say I agree with @Arquebus, I should've kept a closer I on things during the move but hey ho, I've ordered a new one which turned up today but I'm in the Isle of Wight at the mo so can't get it for a few days then it's chain in brakes together and on and a few faffy bits so not much longer
