Hi All, I'm a newbie and looking for advise on what to do with the dented end can on the full Termignoni system. I asked Ducati if a new sleeve is available to which the answer is NO then asked if I can get just the can to which I was told that it is only available as the complete system. Do you know of a place that can repair the dents? Do you know of an alternative can which will fit onto the Termignoni headers? Looking forwards to any response John.
Show us an image please. It could be that a metal magnetic lifting clamp might pop the dent out. I use to work at narrowboat company & those clamps are not huge but excert a massive amount of power in a small zone.
I will try to get an image to you but maybe the end of the week. Also the can is titanium would the magnet work?
Forgot about that, suppose a small piece of normal steel could be placed inside the removed can & then help reshape it. You'd need to find a boat yard or metal supplier to propose the idea. Its not a case of buying a clamp as they require electrical current to fully adhere too lifting tons of weight.

Dependant on where the dent is, you might be able to shorten it like I did. I cut off 135mm from the end nearest the engine (lots of info on the internet on how to do it). It was a bit of a job and at one point I thought it wouldn't go back together again. Looks much better and it's only a tiny bit louder (or maybe I'm getting more deaf)!! HTH Deaks
