If I wanted to get some Ducati red touch up paint and didn't want to get bummed (dry, I might add) by a Ducati dealership, where should I be looking for some? TIA
dunno, never bought it, met the guy last week down at west bay, he rides a 1098, seems alright, he sells ducati touch up paint drop him an email
No, just thinking ahead  Incidentally where will the actual colour code be hidden? Under the seat? Under the cowl?
If a friend of mine accidentally f*cked up whilst fadging with his bike but didn't want to say, where could he get some red paint from......hypothetically speaking of course.....just in case it did happen......which it didn't obviously.
ET try Rotherhan refinishing services ( jct35 M1 )- they will mix a perfect match, either take the bike down to them or give them the paint code, they do touch up or will make you an aerosol while you wait. While you are there buy a litre of polish called A1 AUTO REFINISH POLISH i guarantee you will never see a shine like it, not cheap but the results are amazing. I also think there is a place in barnsley called RS Paints.
The PPG paint code for DUCATI ANNIVERSARY RED is 473.101. Is that the red you wanted? Most big towns have a local auto trade paint supplier down a back street somewhere, who would probably mix you up a couple of spray cans for a few quid or supply by the litre for respraying.
And of course if he was simply preparing for what might just happen at some point in the future he'd be thinking ahead and also need to know where he could purchase the Black & White touch up paint that his Corse Evo model is adorned with
There is actually a tiny pinprick of a chip on the red left hand front fork guard from when we went for that ride back in August and we hit that road on the way to Glossop covered in chippings
Dont get me wrong, I wouldn't do a full respray using this, but I have used it loads for touching up minor scratches and stone chips to brilliant effect. Can dig out the paint code if required.
