Ducati Aylesbury have just been offering the Akrapovic pipes (RRP~£1300) for £500 with the 959. I wasn't interested (because I will be putting under belly exhaust on), so negotiated a bit of a discount on the price instead to pay for the seat cowl/dust cover and a few bits.
I don't like the look of the 959 exhaust, sooner look at the misses.:smile: You may find that Ducati run the same incentive of free Akropovic end cans they did with the 1299 last autumn, if you can wait. Regards, Simon
some dealers i talk with saying that if you get a 959 if you dont like the exhaust you change it cost you 2500£ and they said you might as well buy a second hand 1299 S around £18000 lol

Saw one today at snells with Akrapovics on, sounded quite good actually! Not very much bass to the sound but sounded nicely tuned! I'm also used to seeing them on the 959 now so have kinda got over it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I test rode a 959 yesterday at Ducati Leeds - Simon says free Akra twin end cans this month. BTW - fantastic bike, light, nimble & easy to ride.
free cans is a good deal. i dont really like the look of the akrapovic but would have took it for free. i got £600 off the bike, 13m tax, free first service and 20% off some parts
I was chatting to a guy at Loomies who had fitted underbody akros and he reckoned removing all the cats and other junk had saved something crazy like 7kg!
Doesn't suprise me, I measured my stock 899 cans and they are over 8KG! That said Ginge46 has also just saved another circa 7KG from fitting a titanium rear subframe for £500 so there is definitely good performance gains to be had from our bikes regardless of 899/959 variant
